Yes, pro-wise, who does actually play with a real Blade 98, be it the new Black Blades, gold/black, K Blade, etc, etc?

Just curious.

Monfils switched to the new black Darth Vader version this season? I believe it is the 2013 Blade 98 (18x20)...

...unless its a PJ. I'm sure someone on here knows.

Q. Is Raonic using a K Blade really?... Monfils must be a pj surely?

He switched to Tec. Plays the 305. It's more a $$$ thing probably.

But it's funny because the 305 is what made me check out the Blade. I was very impressed with that stick, but the Blade is even better.
 
^ I didn't know this. That's a shame for Wilson. They obviously should have paid him more! Does he still post on TT I wonder? It was great to have someone of his high calibre chatting to the likes of us lol!
 
I think Monfils is still playing with the Rebel 95 thats just painted to look like a Wilson Blade. At the aussie open I could see the speedport holes.

Er, I'm curious - don't suppose you happen to know what strings Phau (confess I don't know the player) has in there?
 
I know players often play with PJ's, which is generally older models of the same racquet, of different model but same brand.

Are there actually guys who play with different brands than they're endorsing? So they end up with a Prince racquet and a Wilson PJ?
 
^pretty sure I heard Monfils is currently playing a Wilson painted racquet with prince o port holes. This is a pretty blatant example but short answer is yes absolutely. This is one reason I hold Sampras in such high regards, they tried to throw money at him and he stuck with his racquet (not for any ideological reasons mind you but I still like that he was partial and you could see to what)

That's not true! Show me the Portholes.... Monfils is really using a Wilson racquet.

Pardon me just something I read on here somewhere. Point stands, yes companies pj other companies frames for players. As for Monfils, it's probably just the light but isn't the blade a matte finish, that looks kind of glossy. What's he hitting with vsbabolat? H-something or other or is that a new blade?
 
Monfils uses wilson blade or pro stock but not sure which one.
I am 100% sure that He does not use Prince rebel 95.
I think previously Monfils used prestige but I don't think it's prestige paint job.

Prince rebel 95 offers pin point control but less power so monfis might use actual blade which offers good control and power. Hope he won't have any injuries from blade haha.
 
Regardless of what Monfils is using, does this happen where a guy gets a Wilson PJ on a Head racquet? Or whatever companies you want to fill in the blanks with? Just curious.

Mains - Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power @ 23.0 KGS
Crosses - Wilson NXT @ 22.0 KGS

Thanks guys. I was just curious. I haven't been on the forum that long, so I've read a few examples of guys with different PJ's within the same brand, but I hadn't seen any examples of a totally different brand.

Not a huge deal, but does seem a little strange.

I don't know which I find more priceless - the fact that you spoke with Monfils in person and asked him about his frame, or the fact he answered he didn't know! :)

Tt, Hands down the coolest website. That I can talk with someone with that kind of access to someone like Monfils stick is pretty neat.

New Blade 16x19 think as of this year he used some other Wilson before

Anyone ever played an H22? How was it? How does it compare to the Blade?

dgoran - A bit off topic but what frames you hitting with ATM? Have you gone the TF 315 Ltd route as well? I say that as I do recall some of your previous frames/preferences, some of them great Head MPs like PT630, Rad Pro, etc. I think the Ltd is meant to be a contender for the mythical frame that plays like an easier to use PT630?
