Who owns, or, has a chance to get his hands to both Blade v7.0 and new ProStaff v13, do they have similar paint finish?
As far as I know Blades have rubber finish.
What paint are on new ProStaff? Also rubber or true matte?

The Velvet Paint on Wilson racquets is across the whole line. I think the limited editions are normally normal paint. SO the Roland Garros editions or The Silver Clash should be fine. Basically normally avoid matte finishes on Wilson Racquets if you dislike the rubberized paint.

Both have the same velvet rubberish finish.

Both are options for customization if you order through Wilson. Gloss finish is definitely one of the options to go with your chosen color palette.

An extra fifty bones isn’t all that steep if aesthetics are important to you.

thanks.
So if I understood correctly, new Prostaff is more rubber finish than matte. Right?
I do not like rubber at all as the racket really sticks to the hands especially if it is hot weather.
And feel is very uncomfortable.

Many seem concerned that the velvet paint chips easily.
It's not too bad on my v7 Blades, pretty durable. I have had mine for close to 2 years with no issues, just need to be careful when stringing them as with most frames.

That said, the look sucks compared to the gloss of the Blade Pros. No contest. I don't care enough about PJs to do anything about that, but I definitely think gloss is the way to go for anyone who does.

It is totally velvet, except at 12 o clock. The feel is the same weird sticky from previous versions.

I like the look and feel of it better, but the quality is just so poor and it is so fragile
The “matte” finish and the “fuzzy feel” are not the same finish. If you custom order, you get the choice of either of those two or gloss, so 3 choices.

i might be among the minority who prefer the feel of matte finish. gloss does look cooler under lights though
Matte and velvet are different paint finishes, i don't mind the matte finish either, i just can't stand the velvet finish, specially since i live in a hot city in a hot country, and this velvet sticky feeling is absolute terrible at hot days.

Reminds me of the soft rubber added to Computer Mice...just ends up a sticky mess eventually. I don't like the current finish they use...Now if they made a limited edition blade in Silver:)
