Blade v7 18x20 vs Head Graphene 360 Plus Speed Pro vs Head Graphene 360 Plus Prestige Tour/Pro/MP

Hi TW,

I am currently using the Blade v7 18x20 and would like to know your thoughts on how it compares to the new Graphene 360 Plus Speed Pro and Head Graphene 360 Plus Prestige Tour/Pro/and MP series. Looking at if any of these Head racquets plays similar to the Blade v7.

I tried the blade 2013 blx 18x20 and 16x19 which is the year before the CV . I think it plays more head heavy . It has some weight on the throat making it not as speedy through acceleration. I like the speed and prestiges . The 360s feel more balanced but the weight distribution is more stable on the hoop for the heads making it lighter on top and more weight on the handle . Even the throat is more stable on the heads. The 360+s have more flex and vibration dampening because of the spiral fibers on the lower half of the hoop and I don’t play with dampeners which is now allows me to feel where the ball makes contact. On the speeds the sweet spot is large , but I like the prestige’s where it’s smaller but more towards the top making it more precise stick to hit with . That’s my new racquet the 360 prestige mp.

I've been on the Blade v7 16x19 since my first demo session with it soon after it was released. I spent quite a bit of time with the Speed 360, the Pro was excellent but I can't get enough lift off it's 18x20 pattern consistently enough, and the Speed 360 MP was too light, hallow, unstable against pace, and laking in pocketing and feel for me compared to the Blade v7. I tried weighting it up but it didn't seem to handle the tungsten very well, felt like it was wobbly, imbalanced and unstable even when weighted up to 12 oz, 6p HL.

For those who have hit the Speed 360+ MP, do you feel any of the Speed 360 MP's shortcomings have been fixed in the 360+ upgrade? Thanks!

I have just now had a look at the Presige 360+ Pro, and wow, it looks very interesting. I had to stop after I settled on v7 blades, I had demoed for a year and hit a different set of racquets every week. Was maddening. This new Presige Pro though... wow. Looks like it has better stability against pace, better torsional stability, and better plow than my Blade v7s, even customized with leather and some weight in the hoop. I need to get my hands on one of these sticks to hit. I need TW 22x1.5mm leather under SuperGrap to feel the bevels and find my hand positions. I'm worried the Presige Pro with that setup may exceed my magic 340g 6-7pt HL spec.

The prestige mp 360+ is at 320gm unstrung stock, 330 sw 7HL . It hits fine at stock

The 360+ Prestige MP is vastly improved over the last several versions. The feel is nice, for a change. Control is still excellent and spin is prodigious. However, in stock form it’s still underpowered. It needs weight in the hoop to get some plow and power.

The Blade will have more power but it’s not as quick through the air.

The Gravity Pro is a nice middle ground between the Blade and the Prestige MP, IMO.

I feel the prestige mp 360+ has better control and feel therefore more touch than the speed 360+ pro. That’s why I switched to it . Having less power is not inherent because of design but it allows you to generate more of your own power . At stock I get more feel and able to generate my own power by adjusting more with compact swings .
