Good questionWhat's the difference between this new one and current one ? any new game changing tech?
wishing for countervail with power holes
cool - wondering if there will be a new shade of Wilson Racing Green (WRG)...Coming Summer 21.

yes.. about time.. that needs to happenWill they get Wesley Snipes for their marketing campaign?
Odd timing with the release of the V6 non-countervail, blade pros... seems like those would be a chunk of the target customers?
this comes up a lot.. blade pro is not a blade.. it has nothing to do with a blade except the balance and weight and potentially sw.... but mold and layup is completely different.. therefore feel is different...it behaves different... different racket.
oh well.. who cares I guess..
nice. so did I! (from v7 to bp 16m)Yes I know they’re different. Maybe I was thinking of my own situation too much - played with blades for a while. Switched to blade pro. I normally would’ve been interested in the V8 but not really this time around.

Thread is just a little premature, dontcha think?!
If you bought bitcoin instead of toy story 3 back in the day you would be a millionaire. Interesting thought but it’s definitely not premature. We’re only about 3-5 months away from the next blade, and the 2019 blade thread was around the same time.If you bought Amazon stock at $50 per share back in the mid 90's, would you call that "a little premature"? He's just staying ahead of the curve.![]()

Tightened QC and a paint job / paint quality that isn't awful would be all I want.
I’m hoping Wilson can outdo themselves over the v7. It’s my racquet of choice and if they can keep that low flex with a slightly more crisp feel a la prestige then it’s golden for me. Paintjob will be the cherry on top. Wilson needs to get rid of these minimalist paintjobs like the clash compared to the paintjobs prior to 2016.
Yes, Tennis Spin said the same the other day. Apparently there are many racquet lines that have been postponed a bit due to production issues.I’ve been told by pro shop owners pushed back to around US Open time. Production issues coming out of China.
Wilson gods, bring back the beloved black/gold scheme! Make it interesting again! That neon green boring design has got to go...lol
Black/gold was beloved? Are we talking the BLX blade? I own it, play it, and wish it weren't so ugly....
As soon as the rep tells me about it I will.Hey why dont you make an official thread for the next prestige mid? Its due in only a year or two now.
EDIT -and thats if they even bother making a mid next time!![]()
I crack me up.
Probably just a new paint job. What's the difference between this new one and current one ? any new game changing tech?
Blade Pro's are meant to be customized and bulk of blade users probably don't do a lot of customization. How will it compare to the Blade Pro?
Will they get Wesley Snipes for their marketing campaign?
Is this paintjob too hard to remake Wilson? At least rearrange the gold, but for Pete’s sake this thing is beautiful.![]()
Has there been any new news about the v8? I know that there’s a new cosmetic, but have we heard or seen anything else? Hope the low ra stays, but I wonder if they’ve had enough time to create a new technology? Big fan of the feel flex tech. I hope we hear soon because Q2-21 is almost over, and with a Q3-21 release, I’d assume they’d have to start promoting the new line or at least a social media tease soon.
I doubt we see any releases until 2022 given all the manufacturing and supply chain issues due to the pandemic.Has there been any new news about the v8? Thank you for the response! I’m curious to see what direction they go in. Big fan of the v7, but the 2021 v6 reissue w/o countervail looks to be stiff again. Please let us know what you think of the new cosmetic too. Hope they move away from the rubber matte paint. My rep said he could come show me the Blade v8 today but I was too busy to meet with him. I'd assume there is going to be some social media content soon. Two weeks ago he said he got them but couldn't show them at all... so we are getting closer
All signs point to stifferA rep came into the shop I work out and I got a look at the racquet. He told me to actually take it outside. What a difference it makes. 12 o clock is still black as it is now but the rest of the racquet is this metallic Chameleon (foresty) green that shimmers in the sunlight. Inside it changes between mud and green colors. They modified something in the handle, something about more graphite and therefore making it more torsionally stable. I don't think there is FeelFlex but at 12 o clock there was the label of "Forty-Five" indicating that they put the tech of the PS v13 where they braid the carbon lay-up at a 45 degree angle. Other than that, I'm pretty sure it's the same specs. Not sure about RA. Coming late summer.
Also Lux is coming out with an ALU Power black.
He also told me (idk if it's accurate or not) that the Blade v6 non CV is or is similar to the BLX. So, old blade users might want to jump on that but have to convert to some form of green from the black and gold days.

Its funny you say about Alu Power Black, I noticed the other day that Element black is already available but exclusively from one retailer (only in 1.28 gauge). Either I completely missed the Element black boat and its old news, or maybe Lux are releasing multiple black versions of their strings?A rep came into the shop I work out and I got a look at the racquet.
