Should be a really fun match to watch (assuming you like an all-out slugfest). But, it has the potential to turn into a massive enforced error celebration interspersed with insane winners.

By the way, do they play a bronze medal match, or do they just give both losing semifinalists a bronze like they do in some other sports?

correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the losers of both the semifinals are going to play against each other to compete for the bronze.

and i think blake in 3. i would like to see blake win it all, since i want him to win something this year and he speaks of so much passion when playing for the US. a gold medal would do him good.

This is definitely going to be a quick match, whoever wins. BOMBS AWAY. It will come down to who can hit harder and keep the ball inside the lines on that day. Gonzalez forehand plays right into Blake's strength. The harder you hit it at Blake, the more he likes it. I predict Blake in 2, unless he has one of his normal brain farts.
 
Yup, two streaky guys. I was initially thinking Blake has trouble piecing together multiple good performances, but Gonzo is not exactly a model of consistency, either. I think the confidence from the Fed win gets JB over the top. Let's face it, you can make a case that JB is like fourth best in the world on hardcourt, although his performances this year haven't been great.

Fire it up one time, JB!

Fernando leads Blake 5-3 head to head, but I think he has won the last 5 matches against Blake in a row since 2003.

Here's for hoping he keeps his hierarchy. :twisted:
 
If Nadal gets to the final, I want Gonzalez to win.
If Nadal loses his SF, I want Blake to win.
But they play before Nadal-Djokovic so we will see how it goes in the end.
 
Also I have no love for a man who shaves his head but not admit that he did it because he's balding.

Phew, scared the hell outta me.

Both players look so serious, the air is very tense; I guess it's because the winner of this match is guaranteed an olympic medal..

And what's with Chile??? Do they save all their energy for the Olympics? Gonzo is in the hunt for another medal. How many tennis players have got multiple Olympic medals? Apart from Chileans, are there any?
