Ah, doubtful, it looked as if moved his head out of the way :)

The ball seemed to have clearly changed directions as it "passed" by gonzalez.

Gonzalez breaks. Honestly if I were James I'd be wanting to go after him right about now. Getting a shot right at me, and some apparent cheating. I'm pretty disappointed in Gonzalez, I didn't realize he could be a dirty player.

It would be understandable for Gonzo to cheat in a US Open semi-final (where the financial rewards are so great) but its not understandable for him to cheat at the Olympics (where integrity is supposed to be a big deal).

Boy, thats a shame Blake let that one point screw with his mind like that. He had too good of a week to lose the next three games.

I'm extremely disappointed. Gonzo should be suspended from the sport. I know it seems harsh but there is ZERO room for blatant cheating. A complete and utter disgrace, and I can never root for him again. I'm not even a Blake fan at all, but that is just horrible stuff.

It is not understandable to cheat in any instance. He is an ******* and showed his character.

I've lost a lot of respect for Gonzo today. I was never the biggest Blake fan, but he should be proud of the run he had in the Olympics.

It's 'understandable' by any circumstances. We, as fans, understand that the players want to win, even if it means doing something like this. However, it is not acceptable, appropriate, or justified by any means.

Not a surprising result. It is silly to expect Blake to win just because he beat Federer. Federer sucks these days and he is actually pretty easy to beat. Blake's win over Federer had pretty much nothing to do with Blake and everything to do with how bad Federer is these days. So Gonzalez a player who has owned Blake should have been expected to beat him and did.

Although Gonzales should have admitted to what had happened, it shouldn't have happened at all if Blake converted any of those 3 BPs and 3 Match Points. Tough loss for Blake, I was hoping he would pull it through, especially after saving 4 MPs

This is true, but 0-15 is a lot different from 15-0 in a game of that magnitude. He's a cheater. Period. His medal is tainted.

Like I said it is understandable why certain players would cheat in the US Open. But you'd have to be a very low character to do it in the Olympics. I'm not saying I'd do it at the US Open btw, I'd never cheat. But it's understandable that "certain" players would cheat to get bigger prizemoney. No prize money at the Olympics though, so its really a disgrace to "cheat for a gold medal".

Eh, I can remember that earlier this year Robredo did something like this, or similar but can not recall what was it, anyone else ? While people whine abut Nadal and Djokovic they'd never do anything like this ...
