They are awful these days arent they. Maybe the quality of tennis itself of the womens is bearable at times (although even that is debatable) but the mental breakdowns during a match over and over from her and her and her, ugh!!! Sometimes I wish they only showed mens tennis. The women werent always this bad were they?

Ok Koubek is playing well for a guy that hasn't played much tennis lately but blake is playing really bad, too many unforced errors from backhand side.

about his backhand - i think he needs to rip it more - get more spin on em - sometimes he looks tight hittin em.

It is amazing when you look at the stats that Blake is even where he is now in this match. He is very lucky to be 1 set all, on serve, and up a game in the 3rd.

scratch that - blake is just too tight.............it gonna have to get pretty bleak for him to relax and play like he doesnt care - which is the hardest part of this game...........and why blake hasnt climbed higher in the rankings than he has

This match is not over unless one guy is up 2 breaks in the deciding set or something. Both have very breakable serves, and that is showing tonight.

i agree. top notch players come ready to play no matter what. that is part of what makes you great. if you cant come off a tough match and win, then you won't be an elite player.

Koubek has been around for a long time.

He's 30, has only made one QF and one 4R at a major.

Yet, there are no glaring weaknesses in his game, but also no overwhelming weapon.

Hits a lot different than Santoro, but like Santoro can frustrate Blake by getting a lot of balls back.

I've never seen this many breaks in a mens' match.

I didn't say they were the same. In fact, I said that they hit quite differenty, but that they are the same in the fact that they can both get a lot of balls back.
