Blend b/w Hurricane and TopSpin?

Like some of you know, I started to play with my new DNX8. I had Tenniswarehouse to string the rackets with Prince TopSpin Plus 16 at 58lbs. The string job seems looser than I expected. The string shifted around after the very first shot.

I managed to break the TopSpin Plus 16 string only after a few hours of play time.

I just visited a locol pro-shop and wanted to re-string my racket with TopSpin 15L With Duraflex. The stringer recommanded to me to try mixing main/cross up a bit. He recommanded the Babolat Hurricane 17 main and Prince TopSpin 15L With Duraflex cross. I told him to keep it at 58lbs.

What do you guys think about this combo.

You'll find that it's a bit stiffer, but, from what you're saying, I think you'll, probably, like the stiffer stringbed. It will be much more durable. Hurricane has a textured surface, maybe, similar to PTSD. So, I think this combo could provide you with what you're looking after.

Ripper, that is good to hear. I'm excited to try this string combo this weekend.
I was looking for some strings that can provide good spin, that's why I chose TopSpin 15L at the first place. Hope the Hurricane can also create spin with the texture.

I know the looser string can provide better spin, but when the string shifts around, I feel like I lose a little bit of directional control, especially on both of my down the line shots. Hope the stiffer Hurricane can be the better of both worlds.

I finally got a chance to hit with the newly strung Hurricane/Topspin combo. This combo is really stiff. I played on Thursday, feeling pretty good, hit very well with it. Then I played again on saturday morning, I started to feel the soreness on my upper arm and shoulder. I played through the two sets with just a little discomfort, it wasn't too bad. I played again on Sunday, oh my god, my shoulder was about to pop out. I actually felt the pain on it. Granted, I usually don't play that often, 3 times out of 4 days.

I like the control and the power of this combo. I will continue to play with it until I need to restring them. I probably will go back to the Topspin 15L though.
