BLX Blade 98 = Arm Problems?

Tried the KBlade 98 on several occasions and loved almost everything about the racquet. The major problem I had was that it was a little tough on my elbow. I've never really had elbow problems before trying the KBlade 98 but it had me feeling some pain several weeks after I stopped using it.

I see that the BLX Blade 98 has a flex rating 3 less than the KBlade 98.

For anyone who has used both, is the BLX Blade 98 easier on the arm?

I noticed that in the review a couple of the Playtesters mentioned that, even the flex is only 64, the BLX Blade 98 caused some tenderness.

Thanks for any opinions.

BLX Blade 98 is easier on the arm and depends on the string you are using. I use 17-18 guage poly main and sync for cross to help my elbow. But still a stiff stick and a bit too powerful for me. I don't like poly at all because hurts my arm to lower the power of the frame.

put a little lead on the 3 and 9 position, this always loosens up the racket. Except I dont do this anymore, I just use a radical :)

blx blade 98 relatively arm friendly

I have a very sensitive elbow and have demoed about a dozen racquets recently. Several turned my elbow to mush within 30 minutes. All of the heavier & flexier racquets were easy on my elbow. The two lighter racquets (11 to 11.5 oz) that felt fine on my elbow were the Boris Becker London and the Wilson BLX Blade 98. I have a few more to demo before finalizing my decision but my leader for now is the BLX Blade 98. Great racquet.

The Blx Blade 98 stiffness is really curious,

TW review and a lot of people said it's on the stiff side, however the RA is ''only'' 64. The YPP is 66 and many (myself included) say it's confortable.

I guess it's the 18x20 pattern.

Hey buddy i have used both racquets.I am playing currently with the Blx Blade 93 but before it i played with the 98.You are right about the Arm problem with Kblade. It happened to me also. But i never faced problem with the Blx.I have tried all types of strings but never had any problems. You can go ahead with the Blade 98 it is a good racquet.

I just bought a new BLX fierce 305g racquet. Played with factory strings and arm is very painful. I've played tennis 40yrs... The strings feels mid tension like 55 lbs very nice. So I don't know what's wrong or if I should return it. I like the racquet.
