Hey I'm thinking of getting a new racket and i'm trying to choose between the wilson blx six one 95 and the volkl powerbridge 10 mid. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these racket and would be able to tell me the differences and which one is better for my game. I'm 16 years old and have been playing for around 8 years. I'm an all court player, with pretty good technique.

Thanks

Both great racquets. The Wilson is probably a better choice for a young player. It is bigger, slightly more forgiving, stiffer and will give you relatively controllable power. The volkl is more flexible and controllable without as much power. At 16 you probably don't quite have the body mass yet to get everything out of a pb10. But nothing beats a playtest.

Definitely agree with this one. I demoed both PB 10 and BLX 95 last 2 weeks and did not like the flexibility of the Volkl at all. It did not give me enough power whereas the BLX 95 is very solid. It comes in 2 versions - one with an open string pattern and the other with a dense 18 x 20. Both are very good - just splitting hairs here. You will not go wrong with either of the BLX. I am switching to the new racket next week.

consider the k factors, they are on sale for 130, readily in stock. youre in high school and you would save money if you like the k6.1 95

The Wilson is a more powerful frame. If you like playing from the baseline, it is your best choice. On the other hand, if you prefer a soft, flexible frame and value both dwell time and a buttery feel, then the Volkl is your stick. I suggest you demo them. Despite the similar weights and balances between the two frames, the feel and play quite differently.

Yeah demo them. I prefer the PB10 as I like the flex and the control for doubles. you do have to have good timing to get the best out of it. The heft of the stick does give some decent power especially with lower tensions. You do need to try before you buy though, especially if you have a decent game. Make sure you get a few hours hitting with both of them.

The PB10 is wobble central. The 6.1 is much more solid. Either you'll like one or the other but not both.

With previous Volkl 10 93in2 versions, the match-up between them and the 6.1 was close, but the PB 10 Mid has a very different feel than the 6.1. The X10 325 is much closer to the 6.1, so if you like the pop of the 6.1 and you have a fast swing, but you want more bite and better control, demo those two. If you want to compare similar frames with different attributes, and like a longer dwell time, have a longer, smoother stroke, then give the PB 10 Mid a shot. The big difference in choosing between the sticks with pop and the sticks with long dwell time, is your swing speed; the faster your swing, go with the former; the slower your swing, go with the latter.

Hey everybody, just to update I ended up getting the volkl racket and I love it. It is by far the best racket I have ever played with. It feels much lighter than it's weight it is very flexy and comfortable to hit with. It also has good power and great control. In general it's a great racket and I think everyone should add this to their demo list.

Congrats! The PB 10 Mid is going to become Volkl's third classic stick, along with the C10 Pro and Classic V1.
