How did you like the "Watchmen" graphic novel?
I haven't gotten around to it yet. I read it when I was younger and it was always one of those read again later things. I'll get to it soon. My reading list is way too long. Thanks again for the copy!

Andreev serving for the set! No. Come on, Tsonga.

And he takes it.
And now Andreev's up a break. Hmm...

Ahh, ok. It's good novel. I've only read it once though.

Merde, Tsonga is ******* me off.

I admire Igor but I didn't expect him to take the set. Maybe a little more patience for Jo-Wil before he does his flashy splashy things. Because it seemed like Igor got most of his points on Tsonga's errors, not his own winners.

What is Tsonga doing? This could have been a really good match (it still might be). Andreev is capable of beating Tsonga and has come to play, but Tsonga looks so indifferent. Not tanking, just indifferent. He's just going for too much and won't be patient even when needs to be.

Well, there will be one silver lining for me should Tsonga lose. I can freely root for Ljubicic. I'd like to see him make one last good run before he retires which will most likely be soon.

Ljubicic served like a champ today. I don't think he faced a single break point.

That hold was much better for Tsonga. Hopefully he'll turn things around.

Congrats to Andreev.

Only half the people I thought would make it have. Hope Tsonga doesn't have the top ten flu. Or is this just a new French variety?

Is Chardy the only Frenchman left? Mathieu, Simon, Gasquet, and Tsonga lost today.

I think it's the French version, hearing about Gilles going down today (I only saw the early part of the match). :???:

i'm kind of surprised. why isn't verdasco on that poll? u've got to realize that verdasco is coming in from a huge momentum swing from AO. davydenko and del potro haven't even been playing at their top level lately same goes to tsonga who also lost today and was a little slow against gabashvilli.

I too am eager to see what Verdasco can do to build on his AO run. He was nearly the surprise finalist this year, so hopefully he won't have the slump that usually goes with it.

Yep, hate to see it but this year may just be it for Ljubicic. Of course the year has still a way to go but he will be 30 on Thursday.

I want to see him play Federer to use him as a measuring stick for his improvement. That's the match I'm waiting for.

Heh, looks like Federer will have to handle the biggest righty FH and the biggest lefty FH in a row. This is gonna be fun.

I can't wait. I am so excited.

If...If Verdasco upsets Federer, then he must go on to upset Nadal. Otherwise, I will never forgive Verdasco.

The only Americans left are Roddick, Q-ray, and Isner. All essentially the same player . . . tall, big serve, big forehand. Americans need to start playing futures earlier, start playing more on clay to develop more than just big serves. No more college tennis with 65-3 records.

Roddick big forehand? You obviously did not watch his 1st match.

It's true Roddick is a bit of a pusher these days . . . I saw another big serve, big forehand American, Robert Kendrick, lose in straight sets to Nalbandian, and I'd say Kendrick has a bigger forehand than Roddick. The difference is, Roddick knows when to use his, Kendrick tries to hit his opponent off the court with winners on nearly every shot.

By the way, the long and rapid slide has already begun for Blake. Now that he's playing higher seeds earlier in the draw, he's getting knocked out faster. Hewitt at Memphis, Fernandez at IW . . . Blake is not a top 30 player these days, he's going to have to learn to stop trying to hit winners with his backhand.

What was really frustrating about that match was when he did choose to employ the big forehand (which I could probably count on one hand) Koellerer couldn't do jack. Wonder why he never took the hint...

You guys are ridiculous. He had one bad match. He has been doing better than every single player this year except Rafa, Roger, and Roddick. He's having a good year so far.

It's not like the match was a blow out either. He was doing well until latter part of the set.

What is so overrated about him? I am not particularly a fan, but every time he has played a favorite of mine, I've enjoyed the match. He has elevated their play. For example, the best match of Rotterdam was the Tsonga/Nadal match. Tsonga served like a beast and Rafa won by playing some of his best tennis. *shrug*

To be honest, I don't care if one thinks he is overrated or not. I'll just enjoy watching him play. Indian Wells obviously doesn't suit him as the bounce was messing up a lot of players it seemed. Yesterday was a day of upsets.

Igor is very difficult to play first time around. His topspin takes some getting used to. It is even heavier than nadal's. and besides Igor had his sweetie watching him in the stands. How can he Possibly Lose ??????????????

I think you forgot about a guy with a 17-1 record and 2 titles.

No, I didn't forget. I was just making a points comparison. Obviously Murray is doing well as well. My point was that Tsonga is not overrated just because he lost the match yesterday. I don't think anyone is saying he's going to break into the top four this year. Or at least most aren't. But he's definitely a solid top ten player and results show that.

I actually think the Paris match was more of a beatdown.
They were both pretty bad loses. Obviously Paris meant more as it was the final and there was a bagel involved. But the first set wasn't that bad in the Paris match.

Either way, I hope Rafa can start evening out that h2h.

Don't disagree with that. I'd take it further and say he could be regular top 5.

That’s right, only Nadal fans overrate Tsonga. Because of a certain match at the AO ’08.
Besides that, the surface is good for Andreev, actually I think it’s even better for his game than clay.
