Bolelli & Fognini are currently better doubles players than Rajeev Ram, according to US Davis Cup captain Mardy Fish.

"...if Rajeev was here or not, those guys were going to win today. They played well and they’re too good. In their match against Tommy Paul and Jack Sock, the Italians played at a level higher than Rajeev at this year's US Open and ATP year-end championship finals. They were that good. 2023 might be the year they win the calendar year doubles grand slam." -Mardy Fish*

* Mardy Fish only spoke the first part of that quote. The rest may have been in his head.

"Obviously he [Rajeev Ram] is one of the best players in the world. But matching, putting a team together isn't as simple as just taking a player that's ranked high and put him with another player and just hope that they do well.

I feel like Tommy Paul is peaking hard right now. Don't let Tommy's best doubles result this year of reaching the 3rd round at the French Open fool you. He just recently beat Nadal in singles and this totally going to translate into an epic doubles win for us.

The guy's got three first names in his name (Tommy Robert Paul). What can go wrong?"

-Mardy Fish.

For a guy with anxiety attacks, Fish should know he is better off to trust an experienced and seasoned lad, rather than a bro-pack who are there for ****s and giggles.
