@Babolat Official Now I bought 3 rackets Pure Aero VS stars & stripes, I need new grommets to personalize my frame (I place a large amount of lead tape under the grommets so I need to have grommets nine because when removing the original grommets can not ask them, forced to put new)

the answer to this question is that one can use the grommets of aerostorm / aerostorm + (I found one in my stock and I just made now)

@Babolat Official any chance these classic strings making a comeback?
Babolat Super Fine Play
Babolat VF
Babolat VF Titanium
Babolat Syntronic Brio
Babolat FiberTour
Babolat ZF
And of course another call for Babolat VS Gut without BT7

I'll follow up on these strings and get back to you.

I sure hope you mean bug FIXES rather than improvements ;)

And bring on the VS Tour.

Yes, bug fixes :) Good catch

@Babolat Official

As I was asking on string section

VS stopped saying BT7 on package or actually went back to old formula?

I got 6 sets from them from 2 different orders from TWE, all 6 are non BT7, but I doubt they could have any old stock left, so they should be new ones, but none of them says BT7 on package like the ones I bought in 13/14.

So the question is did they change it back or just changed bags back?

I got some tonic as a gift today, and it doesn't say bt7 on it (from US TW). I'm 99% sure it is still bt7

Both Tonic & VS natural gut still have BT7. There's no longer a symbol on the front of the package, but the formulas haven't changed from when BT7 was on the package.

Babolat Project racket gotta be like the BEST racket ever by Babolat.............ALL the pros are switching to it..........even Tsonga.... Unlike the Pure aero....lots of Hype in Forum but NO pros like it cause Lack of control. this racket must have both,,,,,,Will it come in EXTENDED version please

When did Tsonga switch? Or is it an upcoming switch? Haven't seen him play since Wimbledon where he was using the Pure Aero French Open edition.

Tsonga was using it after Wibledone tournaments and davis cup. he probably didn't want to take a chance at Wimby with racket switch and different feel.

I'm going to refrain from the many UNC insults I have in my back pocket :)

In all seriousness, I've hated UNC since they beat Illinois in 2005, and I've respected and admired Duke just as long. It was a dream that I got to go there for school, and it was 4 of the best years I've had. I appreciate the sentiments.

As for M7, I like it quite a bit. It's quite soft and powerful, and it has excellent comfort. Gosen does well for a standard SG, but M7 gave me more feel and power. Plus, the comfort helped when my poor form plus fatigue was hurting my arm. I had just moved to altitude then, so you could imagine my timing was suspect.

What's your usual string?

How would you compare the M7 (Multi Core/polyamide) to the Origin (mono / polyamide) . I totally understand the structural design differences.
Is the content of the polyamide for each the same or are they different? I have seen the Origin be quite long lasting staying pretty elastic with very good tension maintenance. I use this for kids, young teens, and seniors or any one with arm issues. How would explain the comparison of the two (M7 verus Origin)?
Also Origin (mono) is a big plus in hybrid scenarios..

@Babolat Official can you tell me the exact specs of the pre aero VS tour (black & yellow ) please
because a European website currently sells (tennispoint.fr) but it is not very precise about the exact specs so if you could clarify
thanks in advance

Babolat has some serious cake into R&D. As we know, B. marketing is pretty driven, especially here in the US. But I am also surprised that this one (BT7) just slid of the map. But maybe that was intensional..... Also that note the entire tennis industry run about at ~5.8 billion and strings total sales a close to only ~3 million +. Plus Natural Gut is not in the five best selling strings. Not sure where they fall in the big picture but there a lot above them, sales wise...
2014 numbers but things are slightly better.
https://www.tennisindustry.org/pdfs/Industry_Talking_Points.pdf

So if you like to grow the sport, help get more out there playing ( more) and buying tennis stuff..plus we already know how fun it is! healthy, great for the mind ...keeps them off the sofas, away from the big flat TV and those, smart phones, tablets, games....

Thats 3 million units ship and not dollars.

The polyamide material/content is the same, and it's largely the structure that alters its feel. M7 is a lot more soft and plush. I like it because it is very easy on the arm and feels great on slices, volleys, and touch shots. That said, the durability makes it a bit of an issue for me. I'm a 4.0 (at best) and it's not durable enough for my liking.

Origin has a much more crisp feel. Some say it feels a bit too tight initially and breaks in. That's a bit subjective, but for me, I've found it offers more control, spin, and durability than M7, while offering great feel, albeit a bit less soft. It's less plush, but it's a very comfortable and crisp string. I like hybriding with it, too. My last hybrid was Origin and RPM Team in the Project One 7, and that felt great.

Boo! Why did you stop advertising BT7?

We originally had put it on the pack to bring attention to the new update to the string. As it's been part of the formula for some time now, it's no longer front and center on the packaging.

Yes, the Pure Aero VS Tour unstrung specs are:

98 sq in
320 grams
310 mm balance (about 10 pts headlight)
72 RA
16 x 20

That makes no sense. You took BT7 off the package because BT7 has a bad connotation. BT7 is a different formula to the original and doe snot have the same power, softness, and longevity. I have stopped buying Babolat natural gut strings because of your BT7 formula for the string. I can buy a cheaper string that now performs just like the VS Gut but much less expensive. You guys did this to yourself. No one asked for you to change the gut!

Any new Polyester strings for 2017?

Since spiraltek (syn gut ) , origin (new concept) and M7 (multifilament ) are the latest babolat strings in last 2-3 years?

Is there something from the polyester string side coming up?

I miss revenge.

I recently purchased three Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 racquets (from TW of course) and I'm absolutely loving them. I have been looking for a racquet that plays like a lighter version of the Prince Original Graphite 93 that I've used off and on since the 80s. The Pure Strike is that racquet, and in fact, even better than my trusty POG Mid...especially in terms of control! Babolat really did an amazing job of offering a perfect combination of power and control in this racquet!

Anyway...T-W has the 12 pack version and the 6 pack version of the Pure Strike racquet bag. The 6 is too small for my gear and the 12 is too large. Did Babolat release a 9 pack racquet bag for the Pure Strike? If so, is it still offered anywhere in the US?

Thanks for any help you can provide!!!

Hi Babolat,
Any news on when the Pure Aero VS Tour will be released? Also, will the tour version be released with the standard version (non-stars and stripes)? Thank you!
John

When will Babolat fix their glaring bag design problems? My players use regular pure drives and one uses the tour +. First off, none of the Babolat bags fit the tour + frames. He has to just have them half hanging from the bag all the time. It is stated it is a 12 racket bag. I'd wager you can't fit anywhere close to 12 frames in the racket compartments. This should be addressed. The bags look nice, but how could you make a bag that doesn't hold the rackets you manufacture?

@Babolat Official stated in another thread that they will do this when they upgrade each racquet line which is every three years (if my memory serves me).

I can personally recommend the Pure Strike 9 bag. Fits two racquets in each side pocket with a little room to spare. Also, + length fits just fine. :)

my players just got the new USA bag and they were a bit upset to find the frames barely still fit

Just curious on why the RA is so high? All of the previous aero storms tour versions where much less. Which was why I started playing with the Aero storm tour cortex to begin with. If it's going to really be that high, I won't be able to play with it for arm reasons. I have been waiting for it, but will move on if that is true. Please let me know.

Thanks!

The stars n stripes bag barely holds a regular length frame. I will not hold the plus frames.

dear mr. babolat, did Denis Novikov switch to project 7 ? he seem to be playing the best tennis of his life with that racket....playing Nishikori very close and giving him all that he can handle

That's just ridiculous. The bag can't hold their own brand sticks

i agree man. aesthetically their bags look really nice. I also dont know how you call it a 12 pack bag when they can't fit 5 in the racket compartment....

best bags ive had:
solinco tour 12 - monster bag
donnay 12 pack - huge back, two extra cool zipper compartments on the back side
RF97 limited 12 - biggest bag ever. rackets fit in any direction as bag is square
Wilson Eco Tour 12 pack bag - maybe best bag ive had. held up forever and then my brother used it for 3 years too. my favorite red/black bag combo wilson has put out

I'll follow up on the 9 pack.

Stay tuned, we'll have more news on it in the coming months.

I appreciate the feedback. We're addressing these concerns in our next line in 2017, and they should fit plus size frames.

Hey Mansoor! Any news about the P17? The date when it will be released?
Thanks

Stay tuned, more news is coming on it soon :)

The current Pure Aero VS has the same unstrung RA as the previous iteration. Are you sure you're comparing unstrung RAs and not strung to unstrung? Stringing will bring down the RA fairly significantly.

Hey Kal!

Babolat isn't the only one who misrepresents how many racquets their bag can hold. I have a Nike Court Tech 1 which advertises it can hold 12 racquets - hahahahaah what a joke!! 6 sticks tops and that is a maybe. But I still like the bag mostly

I have one of Venus old Wilson bags and it will actually hold 12 sticks - extra long ones at that too.

Whoa, the tour is 25 grams heavier than the standard? Is that right, or did u mean 310g?

@Babolat Official
My wife bought me a Babolat Pure Drive 6 Racquet bag. It is a really good looking and well made bag. Unfortunately, it is not a 6 racquet bag. At best, and with some effort, I can barely fit 2 racquets in each of the racquet compartments, but no more. They also fit so tight, that the overgrips gets mangled. You should really market it as a 'fits 2 racquets comfortably in each compartment' bag. I'm not happy, it was an expensive bag.

If these specs are correct, this is going to be some racquet for the customised 2013 APD fans.

Add 15g of string and 5g overgrip and you end up with something like this,

98 sq in.
340 grams
8 to 10 pts Head Light Balance
68 to 70 RA
16 x 20

Can't wait :)

Even though my strikes fit tightly in my bag, I've enjoy the bag and it seems to be made well. I'm looking forward to the new gear when they come out with the updates on the Strikes. Hope they don't change my PS 100S too much.

Ok Ive just heard no 320g/Tour Pure Strike to be released anywhere in the world.
Please can you confirm Babolat official?
Thank u.....
