I dare to ask again. Will there be nothing close to the Ltd. Plus but with a more open pattern?
if there is large enough demand for a plus, we'll make it
To be brutally honest, probably not going to see what you are dreaming of.
Do you know what the retail cost will be?
is Babolat moving away from plus versions now ? because pure drives and aeropros have always been available in plus versions in the past.
Ouch. Well thanks for the answer anyway. To be honest, even a PS Tour Plus with a much lower SW would do.
Are there still no plans of rereleasing the original APD? Or maybe a TW exclusive just like with the old Pro Staff 85?
Used ones are selling for around 140 euro each on ****...
They are still offered in plus versions. Remember, we don't sell direct to consumer. We work through authorized retailers who work with us to determine which product mix they want to carry in their stores.
nope, good luck on ****
In the same range as our other performance frames (PD, APD, PS). Exact pricing to be announced closer to retail launch.
$200 or slightly under hopefully. Getting tired of seeing racquets meet or break the $200 mark.
For the Pure Drive Play? I initially read 299 a few months back but the latest figure is 399.
Try to plant the seed at least in the office mate!
I'll check back again in 3 months.
Open de Moselle (France)
My prediction coming true?
Sweet PJ on that stick.
This is a shame, as the previous version was much softer.
My mistake. I thought they were talking about the Pure Strike, not the Play.
I'm sure the Pure Strike will cost as much as the other top of the line models (PD, AD etc)...
My comment was hoping that Babolat would not break the $200 mark like Wilson has with the Blade 98s at $210.
It is a daring move in the industry. 199 was a psychological barrier, but now Wilson has made it 209 in reality (i.e. not MSRP which no one cares about). Let us see if it sticks, or customers balk at the 10 bucks more.
Ok I get it now. Yeah 200 used is a psychological barrier...
I would never pay 200 dollars for a racquet. That's outrageous.
The Chinese way of living now is requiring higher wages. So get used to it, prices will be going up and up.
Do the current AeroPro drive grommets for sale fit the original AeroPro drive?
That's a good point. Manufacturers will move to somewhere else if prices get too high.
Yes. They fit all APD's.
This is true.
How does this strike tour compare with the aero storm tour?
Thanks. I live in Boulder at the mouth of Boulder Canyon but I am am lucky, my house was fine. We had a couple staff members with minor basement flood. Overall, we fared better than most in the region.
What do ou know about Sampras Babolat frame except the fact is an Pure storm tour?
Glad you are ok & most of Babolat family is fine.
It's weighted heavily (not sure on exact specs, grip size, etc). Last I heard he was using RPM Blast. We don't have any official relationship but when he wants frames, we send them,
You'll have to wait on specific specs.
Metz? Gonna string? Hope you can cook JWT on his frame if you do string...
What is that NEW racket Tsonga is using please ?? please I must know. also is it extended racket ?
For the Babolat Play, will customisation e.g. adding lead or silicone alter the readings it is supposed to provide feedback on, as compared to stock form?
Babolat Tungsten Tape
Disappointed with Babolat Tungsten Tape. I put two full 3" pieces at the tip of my Pure Drive and they flew off from some simple air swings. I also let them sit for a while but they did not adhere any better. It is a great idea, but the adhesive needs work.
Babolat Pure Strike
regards to the froggies!
No disrespect intended.. the draw is stacked with Frenchmen.
Sorry to see Paolo is out but his first round must have blown him out!
But Jo should have a clear run to the final again.
im checking out APD GT and APD lite and im thingking what's the difference between cortex active up against cortex system?
well in my experience ( i played with both) active cortex is better you have more feel and touch than the other also is less stiffer(feels like)
does the new line have cortex??
We'll have more information later but trust we have taken into account people string with different materials, use various tensions (which change during course of string life), use dampeners, customize with silicone, lead tape, grips, etc.
New cortex filters more vibrations, plays with a little more control.
That is not good. Haven't had that issue so far but I'll pass on your comments.
Official release coming soon. #StrikeFirst
yes, he must be hitting it alright to take out Mischa, who has been making a steady comeback from horrible injuries...
Does Olivetti play Pure Drive?
At 6ft 8" & that weight his shots will pack a punch alright.
Indoors on Hard? Nightmare for opponent.
Glad to see Pure Strike releasing...can't wait to take Tour out for a spin tomorrow.
I investigated this more after seeing this and a couple other comments. While I had not had problem with it, it turns out it has been a huge failure.
We are no longer shipping any of the Tungsten tape to dealers as the R&D team is reworking the adhesive.
If you have purchased the product, please take it back to the dealer you purchased it from. Our warranty department will work with the dealer to get the product returned. Email me with any specific situations of dealers not accepting the product. email@example.com
will the new racquet have the cortex technology?
Good Job From Babolat
no, it has response woofer & a hybrid frame tech but Daniel from Babolat will release specs shortly.
To Daniel: you don't need a cheer squad but well done on handling the Tungsten tape issue: rather than arguing with Gav because YOU never had a problem with the tape; you did the research & got the right answer from the warranties dept.
