I would love to know when it will be released because my company is currently out of stock on racquets and we would rather stock up on new Aero pro drives than buy the current ones haha

Hey Daniel, I am a 4.5, national tournament player and I just switched to Babolat aero drive from Tecnifibre, love the racquet!

My question, after demo'ing the racquet and deciding to invest in it I bought a new set of racquets. I usually go with three racquets as I will go through strings every couple of matches. One racquet, brand new, slipped out of my hand within half hour of playing with it and cracked. Is there any recourse to at least get some cost back on another racquet. From what I have read Babolat is the most difficult with this, and understandably they should be tough. I know it is partially my fault as it slipped, but I am not sure what to do with it at this point. Even if it can be recycled I would send it somewhere? Not trying to get a "no cost" new racquet, but at least trying to figure out what, if any, options there might be. I think the issue was grip wetness and that I bought a grip too big, or at least it feels bigger to me then in the past. I repurchased a new one with a smaller grip and it has made a difference so far.

Thanks for taking the time!

We cover our rackets for one year from date of purchase for manufacturing defects. I highly suggest submitting for warranty and being honest about what happened. In terms of if we are tougher than other brands... I can only tell you our process. You'll have to ask the other brands on the forums for their perspectives :).

Great, thanks Daniel! What is the address to ship it too?

The release date for the New Aero Pros is Sept 1 during the US Open. Babolat will be releasing 3 models another 3 models will be released in November. The regular Aero Drive will be in Sept. That is why you are seeing the regular AeroDrives pricing come down because the new line is coming out in September. A Babolat rep told me the release dates so save your money till Sept 1.

@Babolat Official

I've been a more classic / traditional racquet guy, max 200g, prestige etc.. My wife recently bought me a Pure Drive 2015 for my birthday. I was a bit skeptical, going from a 360G Prestige to a much lighter frame, but I see more and more people using them, and I got curious. So, after 3 hours of singles and 4 hours of doubles, I can say this. Apart from being the best looking racquet I've ever seen, it is the most solid, forgiving and comfortable racquet I've ever played with. Even on off-center hits, it is very stable. Also, by far the best serve & volley racquet I've hit with. I was surprised that I didn't need more time to adjust to it. Not sure why people say its a stiff frame, it felt quite soft to me. Good job, great racquet:)
I've had the exact same experience (except for the part about the wife buying it for me). I can't believe how much I enjoyed playing with this racquet. Just bought my 4th (wife rolling her eyes).
I really like it with lux Alu in mains and a synthetic gut in xx's. 54/57

:) After another week of playing with it, I am still amazed at how this racquet plays. I've never hit the ball better. For me, it is a S&V dream! Would sleep with it in my bed, but between the wife & 2 cats, there's not much space:( Whoever designed this racquet needs a huge promotion, or at least an award.

Hi Daniel,

I'd like to test the Pure drive 2015 but I suffered tennis elbow, and I've played with Wilson six.one 95 (332g + string) and I began to suffer tennis elbow. Now I'm playing with Prokennex Ki 315g.
With this raquets the string was a Tecnifibre Black Code 1.24mm. The tennis elbow was horrible !!! Now I'm playing with Babolat Xcel 1.30mm, and after some physician sessions the tennis elbow disapear.
The Prokennex 315g doesn't have a lot of power, and some times the elbow hurts, I think that it's a technique problem caused for the raquet weight.

I'd like to test the BPD 2015 but the stifness seems very high: 72, and I have fear that tennis elbow cames one more time.
For me, BPD is a great raquet, anf I was playing with previos versions 17 years.
Do you can notuce me about if the Pure Drive is good for my arm?

Best regards

Hi Gavna,

I order a PDV test raquet to TW, and I try it.

I'm 44 years old and I now begin the arm problems.

What do you think to play with Tecnifibre Black Code 1.24mm?
9Do you know a similar string but friendly with my arm?

Now I'm playing with Babolat Xcel, and I break this string in 3h.

Best regards

Hey Daniel,
(considering that there's nearly 5,000 posts in this thread and it would take me forever to search/read all of them) Is Babolat considering making a Pure Strike in a stretch/27.5" version?

**edit: found this
please make the new pure strike in 27.5 inch long version.

But don't see any response to it yet......

The Strike has been a fail, I don't see Babolat investing too much more money into it.

They will soon be buy one get one free (This is not speculation, this is fact. I have been told by Babolat)

Hi Daniel ,

Just want ask for your opinion about M7 strings as compared to VS team , since M7 is "composed of seven 100% polyamide monofilament " sounds very 'BT7' technology to me.. haha.

Extended frames are that popular but if search these forums and you can do it easily yourself.

Balsa Wood, Sugru, an Arrow stable gun are all you need to successfully extend a frame a 1/2"

I have extended two 27" frames to 27.5" and won league matches playing with them.

www.sugru.com

sugru is also available on Amazon in convenient 8 packs for around $20

Now Bab's investing their time in the CTRL :)
@Babolat Official
Is this true? I have been told by my local Babolat rep that the Pure Control series will be merged into the Strike line in 2016, with a sub-series called the "Pure Strike Control" to go alongside the 100,16m,18m,and Tour.

Please keep the FlexCarbon if this ends up happening - the PCT was probably my favourite Babolat racquet ever released.

is this bad news ?? I like Powerful aeropros. 2013 Aeropros had good power and I like that. did they cut down on power dept for new Aeros 2015 ?

Cant say about the new Aero's but the APD2013 was quite a bit more powerfull than the PD2015. I found the PD2015 had a better mixture of spin, control, feel and power. The APD2013, for me at least, was a spin monster and a rocket launcher, but I just couldn't get a feel for the racquet. I doubt if the new Aero's will be any less powerfull than the APD2013 though.

Hey Daniel! I was wondering if you could give me an idea of when the pure aero playtest will begin? I was really hoping to be a part of it!

Hey Daniel. have you hit with new Aeros yet ?? If so, do you think they are more easier to swing than the old 2013 aeropros ? or about the same ? I trust on your opinion since you have been so accurate in the past

If you are having arm issues, try the softest string: Natural Gut.
