Boris Becker: Djokovic and Federer don't like each other

Why is Becker being so gossipy about this? Is this a big deal at all? Why would it at all be surprising that some players don't like each other, while other players do like each other. It's such a non-story.

What darker character is this writer talking about ?? This is very interesting indeed.............

"But he goes on to talk about Federer in terms which suggest that beneath the Swiss legend's smooth veneer is a rather darker character than we've been led to suspect."

I would love to hear about this darker character as well. Maybe he will bring it out of the bag in a late career heel turn like when Hulk Hogan joined the nWo. Who knows what fascinating twists and turns we may find.

so Federer has some kind of EVIL twin side inside of him,,,,sold of like split personality. Is that when he yells out " Oink,,,,,,,,Comon,,,,,Olay......".......

DJokovic is a "real". I can respect that. Federer is a FAKE and a fraud PR machine looking to project a professional, perfect golden boy image, when the reality is far from that.

Federer is a whiny spoiled sissy nancy boy.

Lebron is the Federer equivalent of the NBA. Can't stand either guy. Nothing you get on the surface is the true man. Manufactured PR player who are touted as the "Face of the organization" more times than not are just Fake human beings

Then why do most of the players on tour state the exact opposite?

Hewitt said Federer isn't the most approachable guy. And Hewitt is known for being "real" as well and apart of the old school mentality

Players today are always watching what they say as the PR is highly prevalent in the sport now than it used to be when players were allowed to be themselves.

I would take what most guys on tour say today in ANY SPORT with a grain of salt. You ruffle any feathers, and there are fines, suspensions, loss of endorsements etc.

Projecting a "good boy" image is probably more important than talent these days.

RF apologies, I didn't see those threads at the time.

He has yelled "shut up!" at the crowd at least 2 times already, during a final at Wimbledon, and at RG, look:

Out of all of these guys, Murray/Nadal and Federer/Nadal are probably the closest.

Djokovic was always jealous of the popularity of Federer. When he first arrived in the Top 10, he outwardly wanted the same respect and adulation that Fed was receiving worldwide without having the same resume.

Becker needs to go host a gossipy talk show.

Probably but I can't imagine Federer and Djokovic playing an exhibition like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2zVS-8CQkA
It would be so awkward

Federer apparently dislike a few other top players, Berdych, Murray are one of them. Not sure why.

you want awkward?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mq31fmKwh-4

These two have always had a bit of a issue from early. Federer having problems with his camp, and Djokovic having problems with Federer telling them to shut up. But I think they've patched it up. They're not besties but reasonably ok with each other.

Ye I'm not sure what started the rift, but I do remember Federer told Djokovic's parents to shut up right after a point several years ago.

MC 2006 , I was there. They cheered for Novak from stands as a regular crowd . Shouted" come on Nole " in serbian, but not during the points. He was nervous , lost a set to a unknown young player who didn't show any signs of fear to play with him.

But when it came to Davis Cup, Federer had him all figured out.

Novak is unfortunate to have such attention seeking blabber mouths in his camp. First his parents and now this.
It's becoming pathetic how Becker is trying hard to get attention, or "remain relevant" as they say.

Or is he trying to cover up for Novak's behavior a few months back when he told the crowd to pluck his chicken ;)
