Boris Becker: "No tennis player in history has ever put together Alcaraz's combination."

I'm quite sure that Dustin Brown has more variety than Alcaraz in his matches against Nadal. I mean, drop shot return winner?

Roger Federer is the only other player who belongs in this exact conversation of geniuses - and he I maintain, is still the gold standard for this kind of Tennis despite Carlos essentially being a rebirth of the man in many ways.
Sexy Rogi also had a terrific serve as a (mostly unnecessary) crutch, though. Alcaraz relies more on his returning skills.

(Although then there's 2025 USO Alcaraz who ROFLMAO'ed the whole field with an outlier performance on serve.)

Too much hype from media and media interested former players, who crave for attention and money. We have seen this before. Alcaraz is a very fine player, who combines touch, variety and has now added some spice on his physicality, especially improving his serve (at the USO). In some aspects, he reminds me of Rod Laver. Rocket was the complete package, had all the shots from every place and angle of the court, plus a superior backhand and a much deadlier volley game. That said, Sinner still has the (different) ability to stay with Carlos, by playing first strike tennis, improving his serve and setting him under constant pressure.
