Borna the Beast slays Thiem and then Rafa back to back

This basically makes for a player with a notch stronger serve game than Nadal and conservatively a notch worse return game than Djokovic on clay. That is a clay beast. Borna "The Beast" Coric also matches up very well with Thiem and Nadal:

i've heared that Coric withdrew from Istanbul250 in order to prepare for the clay Masters and RG.
could mean that Thiem will now have to show his B+ game against him.
but that's probably the best possible preparation for what awaits him in the next round.

Hehe. Thiem likes a lot of matches and weeks completely off the court not easy to come back 100% from. Even Federer in 2017 Auz had to have the right draw and work his way to that 5th set crescendo. That was actually a lot more sets than Thiem has had which was why I was skeptical he'd beat Rafa this time.

It could be a blessing in disquise thing not being burnt out for RG hopefully.
