Botic van de Zandschulp racquet

This guy has some serious power from the baseline. Ruud looked a bit dazed seeing someone ripping them back at him. Botic is great from both wings. Great defensive player when he needs to be.

so looks like a pure aero? Anyone have the inside info on it?

If that is his racquet, then he uses an actual 2019 pure aero. It has the spin grommets and same grommet piece in the throat.

in the past he used an Aero pro drive i believe. And he beat Rublev in Rotterdam in 2017, so he is no stranger in upsets

Botic uses the last Pure Aero stock with lead. He used the APD (last version) for a long time. He couldn't get them anymore (same problem as Mannarino), so he try'd a Pure Strike (Project one 7), he didnt like it and decided to play with the latest Pure Aero stock rackets. He is playing with those for a while now.

I don’t see any lead. It’s in the handle?

The way he swings (heavy ball with relatively slow racquet head speed) the racquet, makes me believe there's quite much lead under the head guard.

It's not about the racquet.

he doesnt hit slow, he accelarates through the ball.

so can this finaly stop the prostock nonsense and heavy players frames only for pros on this forum! It is a STOCK of the SHELF model with only some lead with which a pro from qualifications even can get into the Quater finals of a granfslam you guys./ OPEN YOUR EYES

you are also from his homeland. i noticed he changed his service motion too from a few years ago when his take back wasa lot longer. now he seems more consistent to with it.

Length - 685 mm (27.0 in)
Weight (Unstrung) - 316 g (11.1 oz)
Balance (Unstrung) - 31.2 cm (9.6 pts HL)

Hope this can be of help,

I’ve put these numbers in the TW tool versus the stock numbers of the pure aero. Conclusion: around 12 grams silicone in the butcap and around 4 grams @12 under bumper. Pretty powerful ; )

My PA comes up to near 330SW depending on strings, stock. String for a guy that his is 333 with 1.25 strings. He definitly did tail weight his with a bit of weight at 12 depending on how he started.

Very helpful! What did he string with and what tension if you did his frame?

Doesn't Goffin basically use a off the shelf Blade with minor tinkering?
