Pretty Boy still had much to learn when they sparred. Pernell gave Floyd a lesson similar to the one he gave to uncle Roger Mayweather. Jeff Mayweather didn't watch it but he says Floyd won easily. Or maybe I just imagined that.

I'm not sure about Thurman, I'm wondering about his lack of activity. Have to see if Lomachenko can get through the test of Luke Campbell. I'm quite looking forward to that one compared to how I felt about Lomachenko vs Crolla. I think Campbell has more to give.

I didn't score it. Pacman just looked in control all the way, even when Thurman was having some success. It didn't look like he was hurting Manny at all. Thurman was in survival mode a couple of times. That body shot must have been a real rib tickler.
Really impressive from Pacquaio tonight.

Read a thread about Manny's stamina. That was clear as day last night. You could see him slowing down and Thurman started having more success. I'd like to see Pacman vs Spence. Too much for Manny?

Very tough opponent but we saw speed give him problems when he fought gamboa. Gamboa won the first 3 rounds before Crawford took over. Idk why Gamboa stopped fighting. He got very careless.

Pac don't care about mandatory challengers or rematches at this point he just wants money fights, so I am assuming Thurman wont get a rematch as I don't think he did enough in this one to gain the fans he needed to draw.
The Canelo thing is a pipe dream but is probaboly the biggest fight they could make right now from a financial standpoint. But I think everyone knows Pac ain't on that level.

How would things go differently? I think
Thurman gets knocked out in a rematch. Pacquiao should have gone to the body more. Thurman has a weak body. That liver shot just stopped in his tracks in the 10th round.

Tell me who canelo has fought? Mayweather made him look silly. Whose to say Pacquiao wouldn’t outbox him. Canelo lost the first fight to golovkin.

Mayweather makes everyone look silly, its why he is the best. Canelo probably did lose that 1st GGG fight, the second one was close as well, but GGG is ultra high level and on a level above what Pac can only dream of at this advanced age.
Pac vs Canelo aint happeneing, and def not at some catch weight. Canelo at weigh in at 154 would probably have close to 20 lbs on pac once they stepped into the ring
Thurman fought one warm up fight for this one and before that he was on the shelf for 2 years. maybe that sapped his KO power as well, but he got snuck in the 1st (credit to pac) and didnt recover very well. If he were to get another shot at pac I just think he would be more aggresive and not get caught early.

Canelo on the other hand has no problem filling out at 168 these days. He is thicc, outgrew 154 a long time ago, whereas Pac is a small 147 (and to my knowledge has never even had a fight above that weight class).
If they fight at a weight where Ginger is alive and conscious, he bullies Pac. If they fight at a weight where Pac is competitive, Canelo would have to enter the ring on life-support and in a coma.
There are weight classes in boxing for a reason. Pacquiao has admirably plowed through 8 of those weight classes in his illustrious career, but this is several bridges too far at this point.

My point is that I don't think there is a realistic catch-weight for these two guys at this point, the size difference is too big. But even if Canelo was able to still drain himself down to 154, I think Hollywood is correct above: in the ring, he'd still be ~20lbs heavier than Pac. Not a fair fight.
For the record, I agree that Canelo gets gift decisions. I gave GGG the nod in both their bouts personally (second one was tight). There is hardly a fighter I'd be more happy to watch lose.

ESPN don't let him to live broadcasts anymore. ESPN singed a deal with Top Rank and Atlas basically said a fight was rigged in favor of one their fighters. Then a new announcer comes in and Teddy bashed his credentials. He just sportscenterish studio work.
A few years back ESPN2 had Teddy Michelle Beadle and few other people that would rotate in and out watching college football bowl games. Teddy was freaking gold in that I think he's great. So what if half the stuff he says makes no sense to anyone. I can tell its makes sense to him and that is all that matters.
