Brad Gilbert to coach Kei Nishikori

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Has NO power ????????????????? Kei has HUGE forehand and decent pop on the serve for a little guy. and Backhand that can hurt players even though it isn't in the league with guys like Cilic.
Ohhhhhhhhhh,,,,and he has SPEED like Nadal. and That is a Weapon too.:)

Hopefully this news is of some comfort to Cilic who was beaten into dust by Nishikori's backhand at the Open this year.

Cilic's backhand is probably one of the TOP 3 two handed backhand in the game today.

Cilic has a good backhand, maybe top 30 or 40. Good enough to impress players like Del Potro or Roddick in a hardcourt slam, but not enough to keep up with a player in Nishikori's class.

Wish Kei all the best!

Watched him during his run in 2009. Got some nice ball striking skills, need to work on strength/conditioning and perhaps a bigger serve/return (i.e. Andre Aggasi) and improving his net game.

Reminds me of a good junior transitioning into the "men's" game. As we all know, its a big leap upward to get and stay there... Wish Kei all the best in 2011!

Brad Gilbert spoke about his strategy for Japanese tennis star, Kei Nishikori, looking ahead towards 2011:

"Like all 20 year olds, the biggest thing is trying to improve all aspects of his game. Conditioning and physical fitness will also be a focus. We want him to be fit and strong as possible."

You mean 2008? Cause Kei didn't play in 2009 at all.

Cilic's backhand is better than all 3 of those guys. but i think Delpo may have a better one.
