It's Nadal. Who cares.
Seems like everyone.
Says the guy with a Nadal avatar.
just realised how bottom heavy the draw is. Monaco, Almagro and Nalbandian all in the bottom half. So Nadal has an easy route to the final but will probably be playing a quality opponent there.
I can't believe Nadal hasn't played a singles match yet. It's almost Friday where I am.
The match between Berlocq and Ramos is delayed because the court has holes in it and they are trying to cover them up.
I've read that Rafa went to practice at a different location yesterday. I don't understand why he hasn't pulled out of singles too. These conditions are terrible and he could get injured. :-?
Pico Monaco is just out to Bollelli.
Almagro must be on drugs or something. Forced to a 3rd set against Paul Capdeville.
Nice performance by Bellucci in his home country...
is rafa on court today ??..noticed he pulled out of doubles..resting probably, a good idea..he played loads last week.
I saw that yeah. you still gotta think that either almagro or nalbandian will make the final though. but starting to think Nadal should ditch this event, the courts are dangerous.
Yes he''ll play against Souza. Match will start soon...
Well, if D-Nal wins his match it'll have to be one or the other, since they'll be playing each other in the next round.
Have they done the repairs yet that they were supposed to do?
Rafa is gonna destroy this guy.
Depends on which Rafa shows up.
I really hope Nadal doesn't hurt himself on this crappy court. I'd rather him lose now then get to the next round and trip over a hole.
Rafa's shorts are entirely too short. He doesn't even look like the Nadal I became a fan of anymore.
I'd take short shorts over the capris any day
haha if Brazilian girls cheering for me, I would die on that court...
I know, legs are gross.
But at 2-1 Nadal has won twice as many games as his opponent, so it seems to be working, though on serve.
Sigh. Rafa can't even break MUGS on clay anymore. I remember he used to break quality players so often at the start of matches on clay. This guy will hold all the way up till a tiebreak. Ridiculous. The fear is gone and Rafa refuses to hit with authority. Everyone plays him like Soderling now.
I like them. But I'm a ladyfan.
OTOH, I mean, he did cut his hair, too … it's still Rafa, you know?
Hey it's the Federer Gillette Tour scoreboard! 8)
Nadal dominantingly sprints to 0-30.
Nadal with greatest return game of 2013 to go up 4-2.
Someone seriously ban this troll?
How is it the greatest return game when the opponent double faulted in one point and Nadal didn't break to love?
He's an anti-Nadal troll. About 6 layers of sarcasm in every post. I don't know how people don't see it.
It's a very fast clay court. Reminds me of Madrid's blue clay. There are very few rallies.
Still, it's Nadal, and he's playing my baby cousin. It shouldn't be this difficult.
So sad to see this scrub pumping himself up against an out of form, rusty Nadal.
He's a brazilian in brazil with currently huge crowd support
Everyone on tour can be aggressive except Nadal apparently. He's gonna have to start hitting flat or his career is over. Period. He's being pushed around like an table-hockey puck.
This guy has a bad backhand, Nadal needs to do a better job of finding his backhand on the return.
Man, I really hope Nadal gets himself into form. He looks horrible right now.
I honestly thought he'd be in a better place than where he is currently - doesn't mean he won't get there though.
It is a bit bemusing to see him being dominated at times on clay by a lad ranked in te 120s.
I know it's soon, and I'm gonna give him time. But if he doesn't get much better than this, he should retire. Especially since he's still saying his knee is in pain
He'll improve, I'm sure of it. He'd struggle right now against the top guys though - even on clay.
They'd steamroll him. Rafa looks downright afraid right now.
I'm sure Fed could still clutch defeat from the jaws of victory against him on clay.
Definitely. Almagro will destroy him if they meet in the finals with the way Nadal is playing. Extremely tentative.
Nadal dominantingly sprints to 0-40.
More like the old Rafa in that game as he breaks to love.
I'm off to bed now - maybe he plays better tomorrow.
Nadal with greatest return game of 2013 to go up 5-4.
If only some more of the posters were a bit more tentative their selves they might stop jumping to conclusions and looking silly at their sudden drastic predictions about a hypothesised downfall.
You must not be watching the same matches as everybody else.
