People realized nice things can be taken away instantly.. and also during that time people realized life is short...so people who have the extra money are enjoying things now when the opportunity presents itself..
Look at attendance at amusement parks... can barely get in..

They cool the books. There’s plenty of ways to do it.
No big event is going to come out and say attendance is down.
I agree that some organizations do this..however, in this case, you can see when they pan the camera up that the seats are actually a lot more full than 2017, 2018, 2019. Way more full..You can also see how love of tennis and lots more people joining in as recreational players is happening. It's reflected in fashion and culture too. I can't even tell you how many fashion campaigns are using tennis as a reference right now! Some are doing actual practical outfits and some are referencing it in the style alone (not an outfit you can actually play in). As someone who's been into tennis forever, I've definitely noticed the shift.

There was a thread a few months ago where the OP claimed tennis was dying and I'd been seeing the numbers, the visuals from tournaments, being barely able to get tickets myself and noticed that non-tennis people all over were taking up the sport as well as all the stuff in fashion and culture. I tried to give that guy, the OP, some of the info and numbers but he just wanted to argue it like it wasn't happening. Perfect example, I just drove by local park courts that have been empty for years and now are routinely full.

I do agree that in many industries they cook the books and inflate attendance. This just isn't one of them at the moment. If I had a dollar for every influencer etc that I follow who is like what is this tennis thing? I think I'll drop in on the US Open, I would have made a bundle this past week alone. :)

Not surprising and totally understandable. People are enjoying tennis again with Dull being retired.

Moreover, the rivalry between the game's GOAT and the future GOAT is epic af and none wants to miss watching them.
People have lost their sanity like Joker.

It's only down for the women. It increased for the men
Why do you post such crap?
After all the equality they paraded? lol
Just blatant nonsense as usual from tennis3. Considering the slams have equal prize money, I don't know how any idiot could say prize money is "down for the women but increased for the men: Cause they're literally getting the same money.

Yeah. This is partly an Alcaraz Effect. He's becoming must-see TV and is always going deep in Slams now.

And the game not being a two-man slugfest anymore between two old men is definitely a good thing

It’s sad because people are essentially brainwashed into being fans and just increase their debt(record) to support products and players that really aren’t worth the expense. particularly mlb soccer nfl nba nhl.
