Breakpoint, question on the 6.0 95

I remember loving the stationary (and swing) weight of the 6.0. 95. I also loved the low power level. I felt like this racquet gave me more control than any that I played with. However, I'm used to using Yonex frames and tend to hit the ball slightly high in the string bed. This is where the 6.0 95 wasn't right for me, because the upper hoop produces alot of flexy twisty feedback.

Do you know of a frame with the same power level and general feel, but with a more even stringbed response? I was hoping the X1 would do the trick, but it sounds too powerful, like my 5.0 stretch. I've ordered a demo but was wondering if I could either a) string the x1 with kevlar to diminish the power or b) if there was a frame like the 6.0 but with a more even response....to demo as well.

Well, yes, the X-1 is more powerful than the PS 6.0 95. I also agree that the upper hoop of the PS 6.0 95 can feel a little dead, however, I usually still manage to get the ball over the net even when I hit it up there, it just doesn't feel as nice.

A few other racquets that you may want to try that have more even stringbed responses are: 1.) Yonex RDX 500 Mid, 2.) Head LM Radical MP, 3. Wilson nSix-One 95, and 4.) nSix-One Tour. The last two, of course, have higher swingweights than the PS 6.0 95 but they do have the same general graphite/kevlar feel. Both are also a bit more powerful than the PS 6.0 95 but both also have larger sweetspots. Can't hurt to give them a try. Good luck!

thanks alot. I'll try the rdx and the n-code 95. My goal is to switch to something lighter than the RD7 -- so anything up to 330 is worth a shot!! you and nobadmojo did some great reviews...
