Ahhh,.... the honey moon is over.... after wearing these shoes for about a year , i have found that the cushioned pillow like feel doesnt last too long... i weigh about 200 and after about a month of wear... the cushioning tends to "flatten" and the "minimal" forefoot cushioning that was bearable before has started to ache my forefoot

its still a great shoe and i love it (vapor v feel with cushioning)... but its no longer perfect (i guess nothing is)

i am moving on to the Ultracendors ... to find that perfection (but i will always love you BFII)

Congratulations

Not sure what the point of your thread is, but of course your shoes are going to lose the "cushioned pillow like feel" if you play in them for a year.

Cushioning in shoes usually wear out WAY before the outsole does.

yea

i thought i could wear them for 6 months no problem but i started noticing pain 1 month in.. ive had three pairs and they all started "flattening out"

ill give the ultras a try... plus they cost about 40% less

Wow...a year...

Hard for me to comprehend that as I wear them out in 4-5 weeks.

Just as the white starts to show my feet start to hurt after a long day on court, then about a week later I am through the outsole.

I still have I think 3-4 pair of BFII. Been wearing the Court Mo since the middle of last summer. Both of those are hard court shoes. I wear Animos on clay.

I have really wierd feet though so most stuff doesn't fit me right. Long size 13 feet, and my forefoot is normal sized, and the rest of my foot is very narrow, and no arch whatsoever so when I tie my shoes I have like 6 miles of laces left over.

just to clarify... i did not wear one pair for a year... ive worn about 3 this year
and my foot starts to hurt after one month

Jorel,

I'm in the same boat. I moved out of the BFII and Ultrascender(after multiple toe stubs). Love the BFII, but they only lasted a month for me as well. The Ultrascenders were more like 6 weeks. Never used replacement insoles in them.

I'm on the Asics Resolutions. Haven't played in them yet, but I have wore them around the house. They feel nice and cushioned, yet a bit more narrow. Installed YourSoles Ultra in them.

Looking also at the Stabiltor from Kswiss, but not sure of its durability. I have wide feet and weight around 185-195.

I also like the Barricades I(ones), they seem nice to me, worn them for a full season, alittle narrow with replacement insoles. Used either the Superfeet Orange or YourSoles Ultra(Haven't played in them yet) in my shoes. Replacement insoles might help for you.

Also, The Yonex 306 might be worth to try. The 304/305 are very cushioned, but the 306 is too narrow for me.

I'm curious, J011yroger, do your BFIIs kind of split in half? Like you, my insoles always wear out first (then the outsole), but I noticed that when they're completely beat, my BFIIs split on the underside of the shoe right down the middle and it becomes possible to fold them in half.

I had a pair of BFII's that did that same thing. I had them for about a month and by that time they were pretty worn down and the whole middle half of the sole was split like someone had cut right through the bottom.

Nope, I wear through the inside of the shoe just under the pad at the base of my big toe, and my entire forefoot area is completely bald.

And a little spot at the outside of the heel of my shoes.

I have a couple pair of Court Mos that I wore out in my closet waiting to be sent back. I will see if I can snap a picture in the next couple of days.

Cushy and supportive are two different things. A supportive shoe is one where your foot doesn't tire out supporting your body. A hiking boot is a prime example.
Cushy is a soft shoe, or a shoe that sucks up a lot of impact. Running shoe is a great example.
Ideall you get both in a shoe. I like the Breathe Frees a lot, but they sucked hard with the default shoe liner. I went with a superfeet insert, the stiff green one, helps a lot to spread the load (6 foot 1, 220 lbs.) I would say if you're EVA (the spongy molded white stuff) midsole isn't totally flat or tilting to one side, chuck a set of insoles in it. get the stiffest ones you can find, they help a lot.

Good call mentioning your height and weight along with the shoe review.

I can see how someone like me 6'3" 170 would have a vastly different feel for a shoe than you.

Something people should mention more IMO, right along with foot type.
