Breathe Free 3

The Air Max Breathe 3 was an OK shoe. The best feature was the seperated, well cushioned tongue.

I wouldn't spend more than $30 on it these days. Unfortunately, it had it's flaws: The Air Max heel would deflate; The ride sat a little higher than other Nike tennis shoes. I've rolled my ankle in them twice; The nylon lace loops would break when tightening the laces. I've also see eyelets break easily.

I'd be a little reluctant about buying a shoe made 4 years ago with those disadvantages.

I still wear my Black with Atom Red (when giving lessons):

Yep! Breathe Free 3 were my first real pair of tennis shoes back in the day. I also broke the laces when tightening them after some time. A few years back my wife bought me a pair of the Black/Atom Red that is in the picture above. After about 3 months of wear (only 1 or 2 days a week) I broke the Air Max in the heel and I squeaked wherever I ran! I wear them occasionally still, but they are not my main shoe. Like inno before me, I would suggest not buying a pair of shoes that are 3-4 years old. They are bound to be more defective from old glue, old parts, etc.

Cheers!
