Bring back the real Prince Tour 95

Recently got my hands on a brand new Prince Tour 95 (Bumblebee) paint job in a trade. Damn, I had no idea. What a GREAT frame. I have been fortunate to own a lot of great frames, PT57A's, H19's, H22's, Pro Stock Radicals, a lot of the classic HEAD Mids and Midpluses. The Prince Tour 95 holds its own against all these frames. It has a lot of similarities with the frames I have mentioned but adds its own unique twist. It has a buttery soft response, but still provides enough feel to know when you have crushed it and doesn't punish your arm when you miss the sweetspot. Great serving stick, such an enjoybale frame to play with. The frame I have comes with the string hole inserts, I know the ports produce an even softer/muted response. Not sure if I would like the ports better, but it's awesome that you can switch the configuration with relative ease.

I had previously owned the Rebel 95's and they were good, however the Tour 95 next level.

Seeing that Prine has such a vast thin beamed players frame portfolio, I don't see why this one can't make its way back into the line up. I have owned most of the new Phantoms, including the 93P and the Tour 95 for me is a signficantly nicer feeling frame and also easier to play with than the 93p.

I don't see many players hitting the current Tour 95, so yeah just drop that one out of the line up and bring back its big brother :)

So Prince/TW please bring back the Tour 95 from 2014. Please dont' change a thing it terms of configuration/layup. Wouldn't hurt to get an updated paint job, but don't change anything else.

Any others out there that would love to see this great frame back into the Prince line up?

Those stock specs look perfect. No customisation needed.
It's basically the Dunlop CX200Tour 18X20 with the added swing-weight that that racquet is lacking in stock form.
 
Never liked it to be honest... To each his own I guess... but on that note it was on clearence for like forever...
 
The port technology got a lot of bad press and they are a pain to string. So I get why they weren't popular. That's ok, bring it back in a solid beam with traditional grommets. The string hole inserts are basically that anyway.

Great review! I agree, the tour 95 is a brilliant frame and very difficult to find anything like it in the current market. Prince did an amazing job starting with the original Exo3 Rebel 95 (green), followed by the yellow Rebel 95, culminating with the Tour 95 (bumblebee). All three are excellent frames. IMO, the tour 95 went downhill after the bumblebee version. While I think Prince has done a fantastic job with the Phantom range, they need a solid 95 player frame similar to the Rebel/Tour 95 in both solid beam and port offering to round out their lineup. I second your sentiment that Prince/TW release a new and updated Tour 95 (please, high sw 330 grams + with twistweight less than 14).

I had one (16x19 version) for testing on a trade deal, from a former Portuguese ATP player, to choose one out of two racquets.
The annoying thing with the O-ports is the whistle sound when swinging.
The racquet felt nice, not on my top 95 sq.i. list, but nice. I bit on light side, nice flexible feel yet solid enough.
Needs some weight added.
The whistle sound, and the Prince handle shape were the main reasons for my dislike. The paint scheme is too much for me, the yellow is too bright, looks like a wasp

Haha yeah, the colour scheme is bold. I like it, I have a soft spot for the yellow black. Better than the all yellow version they released.

I actually love the Prince handle shape. The Pro Stock versions are quite lite and need modification.

The O ports are love em or hate em thing, unfortunately for Prince more people dislike them then love them. But they are great for your arm and very comfortable.

Like the current Phantom Pro 100x its nice that Prince gives players a choice of a solid beam version and an O port version. It would be cool if Prince did the same with a Tour 95 re-release.

Would also be cool if Prince gave it a more classic color scheme with the black and green.
