I'm loving it, thanks.

Nice to see Steps back in play, the ATP really needs the diversety in playing styles and he certainly brings something different to the table.

Great pictures everyone! Nice to see there are parts of Brisbane that are not underwater. Verdasco should leave his hair spiked in the front, but a full mohawk is ugly. I swear Alexander Dolgopolov and Svetlana Kuznetsova were separated at birth.

Marinko Matosevic. He was being coached by Tod Woodbridge who said that Marinko needs to improve his volley. Mark Woodforde also watched him, from outside of the court.

No, Safina is not here. Yes, I think he's Dominika's new coach now.

Ryan Harrison, serving at matchpoint. He beat Jürgen Zopp of Estonia in the final round of qualifying. A very close match, spiced up by umpire's warning for Ryan's rude word, which wasn't really... all he said was 'freaking'.. not the other F word. The crowds confirmed it. This happened after a long game of 7 deuces. The umpire called the referee who came with Lars Graff. It's all ok in the end. I was very impressed with Ryan Harrison... he played the big points really well, no hesitation whatsoever. He was all fired up and pumped up throughout the match. This kid just has soooo much energy!!! Big task tomorrow though, he has to face the first seed, Robin Soderling.

Jürgen Zopp was pretty impressive too, especially in the first set and part of second set. His groundstrokes were massive, a lot of big winners. It's a pity in the end he made more errors, a lot of ball going out or hit the net. Pictures:

The match was so exciting, so many long, big hitting rallies. Both Jürgen and Ryan served big, and they both moved so well and so quick, chasing the balls all over the court. For me it was like a consolation after watching an ugly and disappointing match in the main stadium between Bernard Tomic and Florian Mayer. Tomic is really laaaazzzzyyyy, he doesn't deserve that wild card, he didn't seem to try and shame on him (and his team) really.

Whoa! Thanks for info! I read in twitter he called referee because of overreaction on line calls

Yes, that's right. It's so tough with no hawkeye on outside courts. Ryan made a lot of comments on the line calls.

What's the name of this racket? Thanks.
The racquet is painted to look like Dunlop Biomimetic 300. He doesn't actually use this racquet.

Went to the Brisbane International today. Had soo much fun! Was pretty surprised that Petrova and Simon losing but their respective opponents really played well.

It's amazing how accessible are the players... as they are just walking right next to you. Soderling hit the ball so well during practice!
