I'm not sure if there is a similar thread? If not, it may be of interest to highlight some of the better results of British players we rarely discuss under the umbrella of this thread.

For example, 16 year old Katie Swan beat 16th seed Lauren Davis in the qualifying at Miami today, joining Naomi Broady in the second round.

I was just thinking yesterday we needed a Brit thread! :D

Katie made a great comeback yesterday, enters the top 500 for the first time :)

Laura Robson plays today. 65 ranked Flipkens will be a good test of where she's at.

Yeah I believe Jamie was just 1 win away last week but they didn't beat Lopez/Lopez

ETA - Just checked and #1 Melo has 360 points dropping and Jamie just 90, so depending on how both do he could get it this tournament :)

Don't believe I've seen Kyle Edmund play that much, but have noticed his ranking is up.

Watson also playing today. Her opponent, Cetvoska, is ranked considerably lower but is up 2-0 in their h2h - both comfortable wins coming before 2013.

Ah Colin Welland! Said it about 'Chariots of Fire' if memory serves.
As for 'no sets'.... clearly you've not read our tabloids!
:)
Ps, your post is my favourite of the year thus far. Brilliant. :)

Here's me hoping Edmund runs into a Djokovic who's mind is on other things. ;)

Stephens hasn't done too badly this year. Up and down, but more ups than previously.

somehow I feel Heather Watson is underappreciated in UK. A few years ago it's all about the rising star Laura Robson, but it's Watson who ended Britain's 20+ years title drought at WTA. Now all eyes are on Konta who did very well at slams, again little attention was paid to Watson even after she quietly collected her 3rd singles title last month. I think people don't have a lot expectations on her to go far at slams, and slams are the only tennis events matter to them, but Watson certainly can hold her own at tours, currently she is the only woman from UK who has WTA titles and she has 3 of them.
