Brooksby or Korda - better career?

I think I know who will win, but I want you all on record.


Here are two young players from the US, about the same age. Who will have the better career?

This one's closer than the Sinner-Brooksby one. You know, I don't know. I think peak (potential) Korda is a top 5 level talent, still TBD whether he fulfills that. OTOH, I think peak (potential) Brooksby might be slightly lower but I get the feeling he's going to milk every scintilla of his talent.

Feel like Brooksby has a lower ceiling. He's tenacious and a scrappy fighter though and that will take you places, but you need weapons if you want to win big.

This is assuming Korda will be able to get his mental game together soon.

+1. IF he puts it together (and why shouldn't he?) Korda gets easy wins whereas Brooksby's always gonna be a tall grinder with an average serve, a hard combo to win with year in/year out.

Brooksby's mental toughness is unreal though.

Korda is the guy who wants to play European-style tennis. Brooksby plays consistent junk balls and spin, as if stylized high school-style tennis showed up in the pros. If both gain better serves I would give the edge to Brooksby. In the end it seems like he will have a stronger mental game.

Yeah even though both serves need to improve - Brooksby holds serve at a higher % than Korda, and often quite easily. While Korda got broken 7 times in one set(out of 9 services games) at Wimbledon last year. I know it's just one match, but I have trouble imagining Brooksby having that sort of day.

I wonder if we might laugh at comparing these 2 in a few years. There was a time when the majority of this forum was sure Gasquet would have a better career than Nadal.
