These pictures make it seem like the US tennis team, men and women do just about everything together, I would think players might annoy the sh1t of each other spending some much time together strait, I guess I didnt know how much of a "team" it really kind of is, I thought they just all went to Beijing individually and kind of did their own thing

i think its just a promotional thing for them to be hanging out together

I don't know....when I travel to play tennis tournaments out of state...I usually travel with my team, stay at the same place as my team, and hang out with my team. Of course, my team isn't the USA, but same type of thing.

Are all the Americans staying at the Olympic Village or at some swanky hotel? It would be interesting to know who are the real prima donnas...

I hear Federer is staying at the Olympic Village

Federer is not actually

Yeah, misread that. He stayed at the Olympic Village in Athens and didn't like it...maybe that's why he didn't do so hot there?

"It's not because Federer doesn't like living in the Olympic village. It's because he has his own habits and prefers to live by himself."

Federer's great rival Rafael Nadal has no such fears about his privacy and is happy to stay with the rest of the Spanish team.

"It's very different from the regular tournaments on the tour. You are in the Olympic Village, so it's always very nice to be with the rest of the sportsmen of the world," said Nadal who is making his Olympics debut.

Britain's Andy Murray, who won a maiden tennis Masters title in Cincinatti last weekend, admitted he can't understand Federer's decision.

"Quite a few of the tennis players are staying in hotels, but I don't understand why they're doing that," said the Scot.

"Having made the decision to play in the Olympics, I wouldn't want to be staying anywhere other than in the athletes' village. It will be a great experience to be around the best athletes in the world and to speak to some of them."

Roger Federer has stayed at the Village in 2000 and 2004, I don't see the big deal in him staying in a hotel. I didn't hear anyone make a big fuss in 2004 when the overly pampered Team USA men's basketball team stayed on the newly built QE2 instead of the village. Back to Bob and Mike's blog, it's looks like a great experience heading to the Olympics and all the prep that we don't get to see. I think I saw clips of Davenport.
