FWIW, i took someone's advice on here, and build up my grip a little with electrical tape. i'm actually very happy with the result and have played a few times with it.

had previously tried cloth tape (bad, too soft, could feel the grip "move"). and i've had the shrink wraps, but they aren't very adaptable (i.e. hard to change on fly, have to pay someone else to put them on... etc.).

nice thing about electrical tape is that you can fool around with it until you get the grip you want.

i am one of those people who argues that racquet co's should make bigger grips and make 5/8 and 3/4 more available...... seems like huge inventory of 3/8 and 1/4, and when there are few left, they are almost always small.

take it for what it's worth: i'm happy building up my grip a little (key wording) with electrical tape.
