Bull fans, how do you feel going to first RG with roof?

Even more significant and what no one talks about is that they will be using Wilson balls, not Babolat. Could have greater implications than the roof, but then again they switched from Dunlop in 2011 and obviously that had little impact.

Last year plenty of people were saying that the new Chatrier and the court being completely rebuilt would make a difference, so who knows what will happen.

I have no detailed information about how this gonna effect all but looks ugly to me. Without the roof, it had a really pretty-retro-ish sense and look. Technology is okay but UGLY.

Well he did nearly lose in the first round. But yes, he did end up winning the tourney regardless. Some great tennis in that edition.

In 2011 they brought a quick lively ball which made it play more like a hard court, while in 2012 they went back to the heavier ball similar to the Dunlops.

Not biggest Nadl fan here (surprise! :D).

Roofed RG means SF/F will be played out on time. Can only be good for everyone (SFists, tourney, fans, TV).

Vamos!

I thought they were Dunlop balls or maybe I'm misremembering. Do Wilson balls play like Babolat balls?

I believe they are developing new balls for the tournament. US Open uses Wilson balls but it won't be the same ball.

i dont like the roof because of the shadows on the court. it will be very uncomfortable to watch.

as for nadal i hope he will handle the differnt condition in terms of the roof and the new balls.

Nadal loves Wilson balls. 4 USOs on a surface he likes less than clay illustrates that.

Now he knows he can equal federer at Roland Garros i think he will absolutely destroy all and sundry on clay.

Lets be honest, everything is perfect for him now. He owes Djokovic a beer!!
