Their 9th meeting at RG (LOL, that's more than all the other slams combined) and quite likely their last one.

Bullzillions - What are your thoughts after watching him so far, does he thwart the challenge and surge onto fight for 21?

Warriors - Does he manage to do the unthinkable this Friday and take an even larger step forward in his quest for glory 19?

Djokovic against the Bullzillions this Friday.

Novak will fight but the past thought us that the loss is inevitable against Rafa on clay in Bo5 match. Novak was exceptional against Rafa in Bo3 in 2011 but that was 10 years ago. Current form doesn't give many chances to Novak at all but there is always hope that miracle could happen...

I wouldn't bet on it. Ridiculousness reaches new levels each passing year.

I seriously think it's gonna be a very close match. Similar to the Godzilla vs Kong fight in the movie.
I hope the King can play his best and defend his turf against the Hollow Earth's Mightiest Warrior.

It could go either way. I make Djokovic slight favourite. He has that little extra bit of crazy in him atm that makes him dangerous to play.

Whichever way it goes, it has been great to see two ATGs fight with every sinew to get this far. That's what true champions do when they enter a slam.
Ah, another overt yet ironic dig at Fed for the withdrawal from his 1520th match. Really making the most of the situation aren't you? You're like one of those old noise activated toy plants.

He has a puncher's chance, but if Bullzilla goes burning thermonuclear it will go bad real quick.

I fully expect Hollow Earth's Mightiest Warrior to bring his battle Axe to the match. The King needs to stay fully focused and be very precise with his atomic breath attacks.

Yep, I would agree. But if he gets him, then that's all she wrote. I am more concerned about the king's burning state, if that happens, the axe will be of no use.

Like I said last year it depends on which Nadal shows up lol. As long as he's energetic and not tired he should do what he's done 7 times before. Of course it won't be anywhere close to easy though, something like Rome but in 4 sets.

Nadal looks bad and out of shape. Hard to get an assessment of Djokovic‘s form because the matchups with Musetti and Berretini are not similar and early round play and focus often doesn’t seem to correlate with late round play for him

Nadal looked like crap in the first set against Sinner and in the second and half of the third against Schwartzman, but then again he wasn't in any real danger, and he finished both matches in stellar fashion.

Djokovic looked bad against Musetti and meh against Berr, OTOH. He'll be motivated, but his base level on clay is highly declined. He's serving great and may win a set, but over 5 sets he's an underdog.

I'd say it's something like Nadal 75 - Djoker 25. Most likely result: Nadal in 4 close sets.

Nadal had some incredible moments in the past rounds but also some difficulties.
He should win anyways, but I think Novak being the underdog suit him better than being the favorite as in last year final

inconceivable for Nole to win... Nadal is a massive favorite to win.

This is dead easy. All on Nadal. Play well he wins. Play badly he loses. He is a better player than Djokovic so its on Nadals racket.

That is biggest advantage actually for Novak agreed.

Lemao, Nadal is a clear favourite at the bookies.

You're a just another superstitious jinxing chicken Nadal fan, historian my ass.

I think bot has fair chance. Bookies give him 30/70.

In his best days it would have been 35/65 so not much changed. He is world no. 1 and defending AO champ. Let's support the champ for beating Rafa like always.

Rafa is favorite to win. He can win in 3 but it's no big deal. Bot can win the match if he plays his best and rafa is off.

If I'm going for a cold, logical look at whose chances are better then Nadl no doubt.

But the reality might be more complicated and hopefully more epic than a simple win for Rafs

Bullzillions! This answers my long held question of what was the corresponding term for Maestronians and Ultronians.

I have a better feeling for this mach, than I did in the last FO.

I'm interested to see what tactical changes Nole and his team brings this year.

Ivanisevic got what he wanted - a semifinal clash.

I'll be looking out for a greater emphasis on both serve and ROS and keeping points as short as possible.

Getting into rallies with Rafa, Nole will need to take risks and press but not so much that he panics and starts dropshotting - that's a total giveaway of desperation that will get punished.

Novak's BH DTL and shallow angle cross court to open up the court will be crucial.

Djokovic will be extra aggressive on Nadal's second serve. Anything else but a quality high kick serve on Djokovic's BH will be attacked with animalistic intensity by the Earth Mightiest Warrior. Overall look for much more aggressive Nole than any Nole's version before, against Nadal on clay. ;)

Bot needs some talking to from his father today.

Everything in the tennis world depends on Novak Djokovic, he loses only if he allows his opponents to beat him: Father Srdjan
