By what amount do strings shift the balance

By what amount do strings shift the balance of a stick? Say I have a racket with an unstrung balance of 325 mm, then what will the balance be with strings in it? Other way around: I have a stick with a strung balance of 330 mm (Dunlop Biomimetic 300), then what will be the balance without strings?

The answer will depend on the weight of the strings, weight of the unstrung racket, balance of unstrung racket, and the balance of the strings. If you had a 300 g racket with a 31 cm balance, and added 16 grams of strings and the COM of the strings was at 54 cm you would raise the balance of the racket 1.16 cm.

EDIT: http://m.wikihow.com/Main-Page

(300x31 + 16x54) / 316 = 32.16456

Even balance = 34.30
1pt head light = 33.98
2 pts head light = 33.66
3 pts head light = 33.35
4 pts head light = 33.03
5 pts head light = 32.71
6 pts head light = 32.39
7 pts head light = 32.08
8 pts head light = 31.76
9 pts head light = 31.44
10 pts head light = 31.12
11 pts head light = 30.81
12 pts head light = 30.49

5.5 points will take you to around 3 points, give or take depending on guage, I usually find this is the case with 16g strings.. Fair to say around 3 points difference

I remember when my stringer measured my yonex 98 it was 8pts unstrung, and around 5 strung !
For your racket's balance to move 3/8" you would have to add around 30 g of mass to the head. I've never seen strings that weigh that much.

But 5.5 points of what will give you 3 points of what?

string weight varies so much. ive got two speeds strung up w velocity multi right now. one black, one natural. the black COATING on the strings makes a noticeable balance difference.

2 to 3 points more HH
Head Size: 98in/630cm
Length: 27in / 68,5cm
Weight:10.7oz / 303g to
Unstrung Weight:10.1oz / 285g
Balance:33,27cm / 3HL
Unstrung Balance:32,5cm / 6HL

Finally the great man himself to add some logic, the whole point I was trying to make, around 3 points on AVG... op, there you go, count on 2-3pts. Case closed

why, are you that sensitive to the change? then jenny craig the string...
what were you using before..
three key things, static weight, swing weight, balance.
strings have weight.. yep...

what abut the twenty dampeners?
does your over grip and dampener attack as a counter balance to your strings?
really..

Remember it this game, it is never just one thing... but really.....
now...lets..
keep it simple. logical and don't over think it...
I think a lot of player focus on trivial equipment concerns because it is the easier blame or concern.
Focus on the form and technique....and love the game....don't worry too much about the frame...
