haha thanks. i left an inch of the cage 3 tongue on the bottom and just attached the LB tongue to that. i think it will hold up no issue at all, especially because the tongue doesnt really get yanked on or abused the same way the sole would or something. i hate the tongue/sock liner in the cage 3 so this might be a golden solution

Good for you man I don’t have the courage to chop mine up. Have 3 lunar ballistics & lot of other Nike shoes that should scrapped for parts. Lunar ballistic foam carrier was special, didn’t really “bottom out” - sort of just compressed with that nice dense foam sort of molding to your foot a bit. Least durable on the LB was that toe cap area, I shredded those & some of the midsole cushion near the toe

yeah both of these pairs had 0 life left and were going in the trash, so i figured it would be a fun little project to see if my “dream shoe” would be any good… will give them a go tomorrow and see if its worth doing again in a more thoughtful manner (stiching instead of glue/shoegoo etc…
