Cahill, cant back down now. he tipped Roger's fall in 2010. So much for falling down so far.. If anything, he's going back up it seems.

I really hope this is a match to remember. I really think it might be.

Don't get your hopes up too high. If Roger gets on a roll early on.. It might look like Murray gives up early on.. Fact is, nobody gives up in a Grandslam, but when Roger is on.. There's nothing most can do.

He has a point.Jinxing and all is cr@p..I think solely based on Murray's form he has as good a chance as Roger if not better,to win this thing.

Vijay Amritraj was earlier tipping Murray to win. But after the last 2 matches he's changed his tune. And he's been right until now in all his predictions.

Gosh, how could *anyone* form an opinion on a win over 2 chokers ;-)
Now Murray beat Nadal, a real player, and Cilic (the guy who finally beat Tomic on a hard court). That really counts.

when you're in a slam final ALREADY it's not hyping.:-?

besides 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Oh I see, but the British media who all said he had a great chance at the start (something you saw as over-hyping him) have been proven right.

Correct British media predictions are classed as "over-hyping" whilst bandwagon jumping by foreigners is perfectly acceptable? lol.. ok.

oh no.The british media make this prediction in EVERY freaking slam. Some time they're bound to be right.:) and yes it's over hyping.Just look around at the melodramatic tear producing :_-( articles of the young innocent Scot who managed not to get scarred by the awful spanish.etc etc.

It's unfathomable to me how the best player of all time can be such a veritable underdog against a temperamental goof who hasn't proved anything in a GS final before.

What are the Vegas odds?

No way, by the way. Murray needs to win quickly. Fed's really fresh after his Tsonga "warmup" match. Murray's game style is not good for longer matches.

Vijay Amritraj is very underrated as a pundit and commentator. Is he still on StarSports?

A TV pundit tipping someone doen't make then a favourite. Roger is odds on to win with bookies - a clear favourite.

Here is my confusing theory on the AO final:

If Federer wins two sets, then he will be the winner in either 4 or 5 sets. No matter what, I give at least one set to Murray (so it goes at least 4 sets). No way Federer wins in straights in my opinion.

On the other hand, I would not be shocked to see Murray win in straights or in 4. This has nothing to do with anything but a gut feeling. Federer and Murray are both playing superbly. But if it is Murray's time, it is his time.

My bottomline pick is Federer in 4 tough sets.

Last time I heard Dareen Cahill made prediction for semi, he was right 4 for 4 (Fed, Tsonga, Murray, Cilic).

If this time he predicted Murray to win in 5, I'm so hoping & praying he's wrong!!

Go Fed!

Federer is moving well, he is watching the ball like a football, he is like a fully tuned up well lubricated machine (you can say the same thing about Murray). However, if his match against Tsonga is any indication, and considering the weight of responsibility on Andy Murray's weak shoulders, and a bit flat Murray's serve (he does not pronate fully), Federer will silence the British crowd today.

I predict Federer's win in 4 sets.

I agree with the "weak shoulders" part Mahboob. He was mentally stronger before. Watch him say some Cmons and let out some screams out of fear and then slowly get quiet and go away.
