You are talking out of your rear end. Just because Stanford players are used to playing in library silence on the Farm doesn't mean the Cal fans were over the line or racist. That sounds completely made up, like a player or coach couldn't handle some cheering so they claimed someone was yelling at them directly.

And even if it were true they would not ban fans because of one or two frat boys.
 
No tournament in the final year in the Pac 12 for the Cal men. Had a chance had they upset AZ State.

Now the transition to the ACC begins where the schedule will get tougher and more full. It'll be interesting to see how Cal fits in the mix.

Wonder what their bench looks like. They have Jackson and Magnaudet graduating. They have a few guys on the bench like Kim and Aney who could do okay. They don’t have a five star recruit coming in the Fall. So they’ll have to look at international players or transfers.

Had said in another thread he is a sleeper this season for sure. Went back and watched video of his match vs Basavareddy a couple years ago. He lost 1&3 but his shotmaking was high quality even back then. Now he has the mindset to go with it. Excited for what he can achieve this year. Very good doubles player too (with Mikey Wright).

I would like the filming to come back. If i lived closer to the area still I would go record matches.

Carl Emil Overbeck is ranked #4 in the nation. Theo Dean is a very good transfer player. And the depth is great also. Five ranked players. Easily beat UCSB today who is a good team.

Good win for Cal. Overbeck got a good win over Quan but the real surprise was Chang's gritty performance against Johnson. This Cal team is a dark horse for a good run at NCAAs.

UCLA really missed Kaylun Bigun today at #3. I think that Bigun lost Thursday in the Cleveland, Ohio Challenger. Maybe, he will be back for the Stanford match tomorrow?

Went to the SC vs Cal match yesterday. Drama-filled, as SC stole the dubs point w Chang/wright going down at #1, 4-6. We got there late, so they were already down a break and didn't see how it happened.

Overbeck lost to makk in straights, but was tough to the end, breaking at 3-5, and then saved 4 match points, serving at 0-40 at 4-5 in the second. He got broken again to lose 5-7.

Dean came from break back in the first to win 7-5, 6-2 (I think) at #2. Chang won easily at #3. Chen had a lapse in the second set at #5 but came back in the third 6-1. SC won at #6 in straights.

That left #4 in the third set, teams tied at 3-all: the entire stadium converged to watch the deciding set. SC's #4, iakubenko, poor kid, couldn't handle the pressure and lost 3 deciding points in the final set to stepanov, 0-6.

After the match, the USC coach was gracious enough to speak w my son's high school team about playing to win vs playing not to lose. He said it was tough to lose 2 matches this weekend the same way, and not to be able to celebrate makk's win over overbeck.

Sorry, no video, too enthralled to watch through a phone screen.

Cal at NC State lowkey might be the most intriguing match of the weekend in the ACC. How will the Bears handle their 1st ACC trip against a very good NC State team? Just how legit is Cal?

well on paper it was interesting but it was 5 singles courts blowouts with NC State winning 3 of them and Cal getting 2. Only court 1 split sets. Wolfpack get the 4-2 win.
