Cal is really tough and has a marquee win over UVA which Stanford doesn't. If the Card prevail it will rank as a BIG win.
 
CTN reporting Schiffman and Irwanto are entering the transfer portal. Odd bc Overbeck, Dean, Chang, Chen and Wright will be gone next year. Would think these guys would love to play for Coach Kwinta who's gotta be one of the fine up & coming coaches in D1.

this might happen to UF or Duke tomorrow so I'd like to know what to feel in advance

boy that was a lot of noise all season to end with such a whimper
 
Golden State is becoming like Feddie. Putting a curse on his own team the second he gets cocky and starts using the images.

Unlucky draw though, UCLA should’ve hosted. But it’s gonna end up working out better for them because with the #16 seed they would’ve had to play Wake in round of 16. Now they have a great shot at the elite eight.

It was a good season that was messed up by terrible NCAA tournament seeding. Cal was easily a top 16 team and could have challenged for top 8. Look at UCLA now. They will beat Texas mark my words.

The women did well also. A strong Cal tennis season and you will not dampen my enthusiasm.

Yeah, I just don't see a graduate transfer the same. This guy completed his undergrad at Cal and gave Cal four years of "service." To be able to get a Stanford graduate degree on a top of a Berkeley degree is quite the opportunity. And if he's from Berkeley and played at Berkeley, it may be nice to see something different, even if it's not that far away.

Agree as someone watching a bunch of 19-20 yo girls exiting UF right now (Qavia Lopez also just announced to Miami) - the players leaving for their graduate year, an opportunity well earned, do your thing - the ones bouncing around every year as freshmen / sophomores instead of trying to build a team and a community for a few years, eye roll.
 
Paris Pouatcha of Oregon also committed to Cal. Three good pickups but it's gonna be tough to totally replace the quality of Overbeck (All American), Chang and Dean who along with Chen to a lesser extent, and the excellent dubs player Wright, were the pillars of Cal's outstanding season just ended. But would trust Coach Kwinta to get these young men to up their levels for sure.
 
The men's season is over. Will end the season 0-3 and probably lose in the ACC tournament first round. I expected more from the transfers and the new Italians have done nothing at all.

Disappointing for sure but was always gonna be tough replacing four strong starters from last year's lineup which gave Cal one of its best years in recent times.

Coach Kwinta won't sit still. Expect to see him bring in stronger recruits.

Not enough strength at the top of the lineup. Everyone on the team is even. 4-6 are pretty good but 1-3 are playing a bit over their heads in most matches
 
Well now y’all had a pretty good win at NC State and gave Wake a decent match. Close the NCAA tourney cut line now. Probably need a win in the ACC tourney over a team like FSU, Miami or something to make it
 
The Cal men were still so salty about losing to Clemson a few weeks ago that they were screaming their heads off for the Notre Dame women to beat the Clemson women last night.

Like cmon lol

I have heard the team has renewed confidence. Almost beat Virginia! That comes with more arrogance, which is good to see!

Nobody wants to see the Bears come to their region in the tournament!
