Hi Folks

I bought a backup aeropro cortext from TW back in August 2010 and today i weigh that one and the one i have for 5 years and the original Aeropro drive w/o cortext w/o GT and here they are:

Original Aeropro Drive None-Cortex none-gt = 11.2

New Cortex = 10.9

Older Cortex = 10.7

All measurements are in oz, none of the rackets are GT model.

2 questions:

1) why are the different in weight for the 2 cortex rackets?
2) I always thought the Aeropro and the cortext are about the same weigh?
3) I thought the Cortext specs is 11+ ounces, why are mine only weigh under 11oz???

Sounds about normal weights for any rackets.

All rackets differ in weight - just depends on luck how close you get 2 together

It can be Babolat's quality control. QC can range anywhere from + or - 7 grams of the noted weight. That's about 0.25 ounces right there.

And remember, strings do play a large role in weight. When you look at TW, they list the estimated strung weight, while the throat states the unstrung weight. So keep that in mind too.

LOL, pinks

My 3 year old apdc weighs pretty light, too, around 305 gr or ~11 oz. But then it was an apdc+ cut to be standard apdc. Strung with 17g string.

I subsequently bought several more apdcs but none weighed like it so I sold them all away.

I'm getting very very used to its weight and play superbly with it.
