Calling all Cardio Tennis Guru Instructors

Hey folks. The club I work for offers several cardio tennis classes per week. When I used to teach Cardio classes, I sometimes fell into doing the same old cliche drills (i.e. Approach volley, 2 forehands accross the baseline, etc). Do you have any suggestions to "keeping things fresh" with your cardio classes? If you're willing to share, I'd be thrilled to hear about your "go to" drills, games, anything. I just don't want to be "that guy" when I start teaching Cardio classes again (which will be happening soon). Thanks in advance for your ideas and inspiration.

Side note - those of you who provide your own music...does anyone know a site or service where I frequently get my hands on a new "mix?" Beatport maybe? I compiled a playlist yesterday based on the current Billboard dance chart...but it took me forever. Thanks again.

I think that cardio tennis is an oxymoron.

How about hit for ten minutes, run a mile, hit for ten minutes, run a mile?

For you or in general? Some people wont just go out for a run (myself included). I personally don't mind running while hitting tennis balls...and I'd bet there are many who would agree...

Edit - I had hoped this wouldn't have turned into a debate about the validity of cardio tennis...but I guess the cat's out of the bag...

Why did you put your post in the instruction section?

Seriously? What a welcome. I posted here because I thought there were a fair number of tennis instructors who frequent this section. And I'm grateful for the helpful responses so far.

If that answers your question, I'm glad. But, I'm wondering why you bothered to reply in the first place (and quoted the entire original post!) if you had nothing to contribute, other than an unwelcoming insult...
