Ralf might not win, the experts say he has a better chance thatn fed does winning the french. Vamos Ralf!!!

Uh huh. How does that work when Nadal has reached one final at Wimbledon a third round and... a second round. Federer has been to the French Open finals twice and the semifinals once.

Please explain??? And who are these 'experts'??

I'm quite certain Federer "cares" a great deal that he didn't win those tournaments>>> especially the French. So there is one person that "cares".

How are they relevant? They are relavant to the point I made earlier. That currently, nadal is playing the best tennis on tour, and I will say it again>> THIS IS NOT DISPUTABLE.

So nadal is currently playing the best tennis of anyone on tour, and that is not relevant, but fed has won 4 Wimbledons in the past that is?? LOL.

And show me where I have stated anywhere that Nadal is going to beat fed on grass???

How is this ridiculous spin you just posted relevant?????

Now I get it>>> you lack reading comprehension skills. Show me where I have posted that Nadal is the "favorite"??

Now go back to school and learn how to comprehend what you read. Funny how you call me "stupid" when you have entirely misquoted and misunderstood everything I have written in this thread.
Fed hasn't lost on grass in how many years, and you're asking how that's relevant to wimby? But you consider recent clay court season relevant? Are you slow?

I'll tell you how his grass streak is relevant. It illustrates how talented he is on the surface. The fact that he wasn't able to return repeated topspin shots to his backhand from nadal, bouncing around his ears, does not foreshadow anything about wimbledon. If you think it does, I will have to assume that you haven't played on both grass and clay.

Nadal has been the best player these past two months. But it's been on clay. Roddick has been one of the WORST players these past 4 months (prior to Queens), yet even you can agree that behind Federer, he has a good a chance as anyone to win it. Do you think it was a mere coincidence that Roddick, after being one of the worst players recently, won Queens??? No, it's because his clay results are irrelevant to his grass play, and he plays well on the surface.

I guess I didn't mean that you said he was -the- favourite, but -your- favourite; as in you're picking him to win it off of an irrelevant clay court season. I called you stupid because you use the fact that Nadal is the best clay court player to justify your opinion that he'll win Wimbledon.

Everyone expected Nadal to clean house during the clay season. He did the same thing the last 2 years, but didn't win wimbledon. Federer had a poor clay season last year (compared to nadal) and won wimbledon. Does that not show you how these past few months are IRRELEVANT?

And If Nadal isn't going to beat Fed on grass, who is? There's no one from his draw that stands a chance, except maybe Tommy Haas. I was making an assumption about you, but I guess I gave your brainpower a little too much credit. My bad.

All the people that think Nadal i gonna win wimbly make a post here. So when he gets knocked off in the quarters i can laugh at u. I dont dislike Nadal but all these ***ity Nadal fans are making me not like him.
You're kidding, right?

Judging by this post, you're either:
1) very young and/or immature
2) trolling
3) both

Do some people seriously dislike a player based on what some people write on some message board? That's just crazy esp. on this board with so much venom. You could easily hate every top player since they all have their share of ***ty fans so stop hiding behind pathetic excuses for your lack of sincere love for the sport.

For the record: I'm going to be happy if Nadal gets in the second week: let alone reach the final or win it.

Since you're from Michigan, meanwhile you can laugh at only 3 /14 yankee monkeys making the mens 2nd round on a surface thats meant to suite them.
You have a point. What does it mean that only 3 American men (Roddick, Blake, Delic) have survived the first round of Wimbledon? How many do you think will make it past the 4th round? I say only Roddick. I guarantee you Nadal will make it past that. His real test is in the QF against Berdych. I'm telling you, the winner of that match will play in the final.

Last time I checked. Nadal has won the last Slam, and won 2 of 3 tournaments before that. Who else on tour has numbers this close to him in the last two months??

Fed has won one tourney, and Roddick just won Artois. Who else?

NADAL **IS** PLAYING THE BEST TENNIS OF ANYONE ON THE TOUR. DEAL WITH IT.

BY THE WAY, I'M A FED FAN.
Queens is played on grass. Nadal lost on grass. Wimbledon is played on grass.

Nadal played the best tennis on clay.

What part of the following post are you failing to comprehend?? Where have I said Nadal is the "favorite", or that I picked him to "win"?

I said, "he has a good chance to win and believe he will."

I think he has a good chance to win, and believe he will.

I am pulling for Fed, but Nadal is playing the best tennis of anyone on the ATP>>> and that includes Fed.

Oh, and by the way, Nadal has a hard court title this year, which is more recent than Feds last hard court title. Additionally, made it further to the last hard court masters shield event (Sony Ericsson Open) than Fed did.

The only one here who is "slow" is you. Go take some "comprhension" pills, stop misquoting me, and acting so stupid.

I guess you and Ztalin are part of some rogue gang that doesn't comprehend so well.

Since "clay" seems to be irrelevant to you guys, lets look at the last two master shield events played on hard court.

Sony Ericsson Open (this is an event played on hard courts)>>> Nadal made it further than Fed, and lost to the eventual Champion.

Pacific Life Open (this is also a hard court event) >>> Nadal won the title.

Yeah, you're right (cough)>>> Nadal has only been doing well on clay.

If If Berdych gets past Nadal he'll have to face Djokovic, and he'll lose that match. Even though he has beaten Nadal every time they have played on hard surfaces (closest to grass), I think this being a major will pull Nadal through. Either Djokovic or Berdych has a good chance of beating Nadal on this half of the draw.

If Berdych and Djokovic meet, tt would be their first meeting on tour and likely to be a five-setter, but Djokovic is probably more used to the big stage than Berdych and that should get him the win. It would definitely be a great match and a toss-up.

You're initially using a 2 months time frame. Then count Hard court events that are over 3 months ago.

Well, RODDICK **IS** PLAYING THE BEST TENNIS OF ANYONE ON THE TOUR (in the last 2 weeks).

Nice attempt at a spin.

YOU AND ZTALIN are the ones that are attempting to discredit what I initially said>>> "that over the course of the last two months, Nadal is playing the best tennis on tour".

Additionally, trying to "downplay" his success on clay as "irrelevant", which is why I then went and included his hard court success.

Uhhh, believing that someone will win a tournament means that he is your favourite to win the tournament, or that you are 'picking' him to win. What part about that can't you comprehend???

I never said anything about his hardcourt success being irrelevant. I said that his claycourt success was irrelevant. Did Guga EVER get close to winning wimbledon, as he was the best player in the months prior to the tournament several times?

2 months ago does not include hard courts.

...and you still continue to amaze me.

It's not me spinning it's you. You're blatantly changing your tune with each post you make.

I haven't downplayed Nadal's success on clay or hardcourts at all. Quite the reverse. Like I've stated Nadal has been the best player on clay.

You, and you alone, making Nadal the 'favourite' at Wimbledon is laughable.

Pros like Mats Wilander. Who said roger wont win the french. I personally feel roger has a better shot to win the french myself before nadal wins wimbledon. ??? I think roger has suprised even the hardcore baseliners like wilander that he is damn tough at the french. Nadal is just better.

But who knows. Ralf is like what- 20yrs old only. Fed is 5years older, nadal could be just getting started to win other majors.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Nadal is gonna lose to my boi Robin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rafa's performance against Soderling is the only reason I give him any chance to win this thing. His mind is just strong enough to pull him through. The guy had break point to allow Soderling to serve for it and came up with the goods. He hit a sick forehand pass in the closing moments. AND, he wasn't even playing well! Yeah, there's a good reason why my boy Fed tightens up when he plays Rafa. Rafa's got some work to do though. The bottom half of the draw is nothing but trouble.

No, I have already said Federer is the obvious favorite to win. However, I believe, in spite of what people have been saying on these boards that Nadal is playing the best tennis coming into this tournament, and being that the grass plays the way it does these day there is not reason for Nadal not to make the finals. I also believe their is no reason why he can't win. Now go take comprehension lessons, and stop spinning everything.

How have I changed my posts??? I already said earlier Fed is the obvious favorite. Here is the direct quote where I acknowledged Fed is the favorite.

And he is. He received the # 1 slot at Wimbledon. Who is disputing this?? I'm not.
I haven't changed my mind about Nadal. I said, coming in to Wimbledon he is playing the best tennis of any pro and don't see any reason why he wouldn't make it to the final. I also believe he could win it.

Show me where I have changed this opinion.
