Calling all POG LongBody cut down users!!!!! What your formula?

Hey,

I've got this POG LongBody with the 100 inch head. The 28 inch size seems to long for me. I really like the headsize though.

1-How much did you cut it down to make it a bit more manuverable?
2-Did you add any weight? If so, how much and where?
3-What was your final swing weight and balance?

Lots to like about the POG LB. Like you, I also find the shape of the head to be close to ideal.

Great racquet for hitting aggressive groundstrokes. Big topspin. Sweet feel.

One of my biggest gripes with the POG LB is that it's somewhat unstable. I found it to be particularly bad in defensive situations. Forget about volleying.

I tried to cut it down to roughly 27.25-3 in.

I added some lead to the head.

I have no idea what the final stats were. I just went by feel.

Wasn't a bad set up. But I eventually went looking for a more stable and powerful racquet.

You can try and find Travlerajm's (not sure if i typed it correctly) posts on this....but i think he removed most of his "knowledge".

I plan on buying a Prince Longbody soon and cutting it down. I'm used to playing with 100 sq in sticks with a 27-1/4" length, but for starters, I'll just cut a half inch off first. Then, if it doesn't feel right with my favorite string and tension, and some lead tape at the 3 and 9 spots, then I'll cut another 1/4 inch off, and hope for the best.
As far as the cutting goes, just do it CAREFULLY!

the extra length is in the handle, so cutting of a half inch (or even an inch) is no big deal. personally, i don't think it feels anything like the POG mid. it is very flexible. very soft. i've been searching for a stiffer string to try and crispen up the string bed. i go through phases where i use it a lot for a while and then not for months. not a bad stick.

I chopped mine down to 27.5, wanted to go more, but went back to my PRTis...may get back to it when my wrist gets sore.

Mine is 362g 12pts HL. It is a fine stick off the ground, but lacks the volleying pizazz of the PRTi...
