Calling all polyester gurus

Yeah. Thought it was too stiff and low powered with not enough feel. Very consistent feel, and I could sense that tension maintenance was excellent with it.

If you thought Max Power was low powered with not enough feel you're going to hate Tour Bite. Trust me. I could write a book about TB. I used it for three years. Worst mistake I ever made.

Btw, Cyclone was the 2nd worst mistake I ever made.

STBite 16 is fine, if you would care to lower string tension.
Like, on yuour PS97, flex around 68 and lots of strings, a tension of around 38 would be very playable for all including the hardest hitters on this site....maybe not for Groth, Isner, or Tsonga/Monfils.

Well - I agree, to an extent. I tried both TB and Cyclone in the past but I hated the 1.25 versions of both. I currently am testing 1.20 strings so I am looking to see if that will make a difference. So far, the TB 1.20 really gives me that sensation of grip when I hit and it gives me great control. It could use a bit more power since I'm not a big guy. I'll continue to hit it though.

Hope the Cyclone being thinner helps. I'll be testing a few more strings while I'm at it.

You may want to try a full bed of Solinco Tour Bite SOFT 17 around 51 lbs. I previously only played with multis to keep my arm pain-free, but needed more control. My first hit with TBS was incredible and I never looked back. I have the same, if not even more power, but noticeably more control. It is definitely a unique string in that it gives a good dose of both power and control. On top of that, it is about as comfortable as a full multi setup. And the tension maintenance and playability is great for a poly, as I get 8 good hours of play out of it before I start to feel a decrease in performance. It's worth a try!

I too used TB Soft and enjoyed it for several weeks. Ultimately, I found that it had too much power. Have you tried the original TB? I have been using this string in a 17 gauge strung at 50 lbs. I can take fast, full swings every time without trepidation.
