Normally I am a genius when it comes to these things, but this time I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
I have a Panasonic HDC-DX1 AVCHD camcorder which records movies on DVD-R's/DVD-RW's...
I follow all of the directions in the manual (finalize the disk, connect it to the computer via USB cable, put it on PC mode)
The computer recognizes it/installs the drivers. (I even tried again restarting)
I go to My Computer: G:\, click it, and I get an error that "The disk is corrupted or your computer does not support the selected format"
I read in the manual that you need special software to edit AVCHD format, so I open my Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 (which supposedly supports it), I go to Import: From DVD disk camcorder, and select the G :\, but I get the same error.
I am running Windows XP on a new Gateway Laptop, and even tried it on my Sony Vaio desktop with XP but it still didn't work.
Any ideas?
