- Lack of ball construction and an understanding of its importance in match construction is typical in young kid's game, if she figures that out, she steps up; or she "drops off the map", as GrandSlam45 says, which I don't want to see happen...

Such a good athlete, father being a bit over-protective, which is understood, probably getting harder to access to sound coaching now with these stories, just too bad if the quality diminishes simply for such reasons...

I can't decide if people like Russeljones post stuff like this purely to be trollish or if they are so arrogant that they cannot begin to understand that their own hyper-opinionated pronouncements might be completely off-base to most people and represent a rather bizarre and quite small minority. Odds are running about 50-50 that he has never had a significant other, or if he has had one, she's got an *rse about a meter wide.

I realize most men cannot hope to have beautiful women love/want them. That is not my problem. I am just giving my opinion, like everyone else in the thread. I have no idea how you must feel but if that is what prompted that puerile last sentence, it must be bad.

That's why I am in love with her - the beauty of her game (admitted that her personal beauty impresses me as well) - straightforward shots, no yelling or barking or any other type of BS whatsoever when missing a shot or making a stupid error, being cool throughout the time on court!

Camila is a sad example to me because she's having a hard time in concentrating on tennis and on expressing the quality of her game to the court. Would you deny her being failed in making to the Miami main draw have anything to do with the distraction, the financial issue she and her father have got involved and resurfaced and her being questioned by that (ridiculous, in my book) reporter? And these happened after her stunning defeat of Maria at IW? Yes Camila's prize money has reached $700,000+, but who knows what else that money needs to take care of?

I'm a fan of her and was with you until this sentence. Is $700k not enough?!

She's no longer a pauper.

Her results are good, her income now steady. They should make good on their debts and be done with this chapter. Hopefully their behavior has improved so that they are simply paying their coaches, baggage fees (lol), etc. without asking for loans or begging.

When you have her talent AND newfound top 70 ranking, it's not THAT hard to manage the finances folks!

With costs upward of 100k per annum, I beg to differ. They either have to be gorgeous or they have to achieve on the court. She's not out of trouble yet.

I agree with you in that $700K is a lot of money compared to $30K or whatever in debt, it is just I am (probably most of us all) not sure what other big holes are there behind to be filled with...
 
If the girl can develop into a multidimensional player capable of wisely guiding and distributing the inexhaustible Camila power for various court situations, I am seeing an undefeated champion, and a pretty one...

Russ, the internet is full of guys who date only supermodels, hit only 135mph serves, have 7-8-figure incomes, average 300 yards off the tee with their 3-woods, bench 2.5x their weight, can't decide between a 911 Turbo and a 458, etc... all of whom seem to scorn that which normal people view as admirable. In actuality, most of these guys live in their parents' basements, have orange Cheetos stains on their once-white tee-shirts, and are online 18 to 20 hours a day. Odds are pretty good that you're one of them.

Read this when she was playing Maria at Indian Wells. Unreal, seems most people blame the father but she's 22. She has to know what's going on. If she dropped her dad and got more legit management she would be one of the most marketable WTA players.

Just seen this lol and I don't know what is sadder. Whether it is the fact that an adult man considers her a beauty or that he can't imagine there are billions of women out there and most of them will choose a good looking man for a partner. Somewhere in this there's a story about rejection and what-not but I, as the magnanimous guy that I am, will give it a pass and not dig in.

I have astonishingly average and typical tastes in woman and I think Giorgi is attractive. Not stunningly beautiful, but quite attractive, not just for the WTA. I think most other guys would agree with me. I am confident that most guys would disagree with you when you disparage her looks. See e.g. the glamour photo on the second page of the thread and the photo on the accompanying link.

You want to ridicule anyone for not finding her attractive enough to warrant the high praise expressed here, that just makes you very limited. Nonsense. I've seen both Ivanovic and Giorgi last week in Rome, and really close, both of them are really fit and have insane bodies.
Ivanovic may look thin and skinny on TV, but IRL it's all muscle.
Giorgi has even some cellulitis on her thighs if you really want to know...
 
The OP's love quest is not without merit. I prefer Giorgi to Kournikova.

I like her, she is pretty,not the most beatiful girl on the tour, but she has stunning great body and a nice tennis game. I'm sure that not eveybody likes her but that because as we say in Italy (slang) she is a "tipo" which is kind of hard to traslate in a way that make sense.
 
Her loss to Kuznetsova in the 2nd round of this FO says again that the father has done what he could and it's the time to find a coach to further polish the raw gem...
