Who will win this laughable event ? who CARES you say ? Don't tell that to the Pros. Winner gets close to $80.000 and there is $ 442,000 in the event. No wonder Querry is playing.

This is like a challenger. I'd play it if I were Davydenko/Roddick

People who really need the points (Though maybe Roddick has already won 2 250s)

1. United States Sam Querrey
2. Colombia Santiago Giraldo
3. Colombia Alejandro Falla
4. Belgium Olivier Rochus
5. United States Mardy Fish
6. Slovakia Karol Beck
7. United States Rajeev Ram
8. United States Taylor Dent

I think Taylor Dent could really use the points in preparation for the US open. Fish and Querry are both well off Millionares now so they don't care.

Right, terrible draw.
If Querrey looses again like last years final against Rajeev Ram he´s really a ********.

NICE gesture on Nico's part. Wonder what Isner did with his underwear ?????????????

Nicolas Mahut donates memorabilia from the longest match

Nicolas Mahut, who famously battled John Isner in a record-shattering 11 hour and 5 minute match at Wimbledon last week has made a donation of memorabilia from “The Match” to the Museum at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I. Mahut will make his first return to competition since the epic match at the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, which kicks off on Monday. This will be Mahut’s fifth appearance in Newport, where he was a finalist in 2007.

Mahut talked with International Tennis Hall of Fame CEO Mark Stenning and a crowd of visitors who were touring Museum about the Wimbeldon match that made him a household name. He commented that he was unaware of the worldwide attention around the match, as he was purely focused on the competition.

Mahut signed autographs for fans who commended him for his sportsmanship and assured the crowd that he was well-rested since the match and was eager to return to the courts. He made a donation of a shirt, shorts and one autographed sneaker to the Museum, all of which were worn on the second day of the match. The items will immediately be displayed in the Grand Slam gallery at the Museum, where they may be viewed by visitors.

“The Museum at the International Tennis Hall of Fame is an incredible landmark for the game of tennis. I am humbled and honored to have a piece of history from my career on display alongside memorabilia from the game’s greatest stars,” said Mahut.

To anyone interested there's a stream in atdhe dot net. Not the best of quality but it's something at least.

Just watched Harrison take the first agianst Beck - looks a good prospect.

not only did he take the first, but the 18-year-old American wild card is now up a break in the second, 2-1

I was a hundred percent sure of that this tourney was being played in Newport, OC, California. The commentator just said "Rhode Island" and I just had to check it out, and obviously found out, I was dead wrong.

You don't know where the tennis HOF is located? :)

It feels a little anti climactic to be watching grass court tennis now, but go querrey. Would be nice for him to gain some ranking spots!

Here's some results from today's singles:

Dustin Brown d. Bjorn Phau 7-6(3), 6-7(7), 6-4
Go Soeda d. Taylor Dent 6-4, 3-6, 6-4
Ryan Harrison d. Karol Beck 6-1, 6-2

Players have been introduced and are warming up -- you better be out there watching, DjokoGonzo!!!

faux pas: the announcer is pronouncing Vasselin's name like "vaseline" Hope the umpire doesn't do the same

edit: well, it was just the on-site announcer who said it wrong. so far the on-stream announcer has been excellent with all the french names ..... umpire is steve ulrich, but he's pretty much inaudible on this stream.

Harrison will show his true potential, just you watch! :

he really took care of business today, knocking out the player 10 years older than himself ... ryan's another one of those who's been coached by his dad since he was "2 years old" ... woof! he's already got 16 years experience

there's another young American wild card I'm interested in seeing (I think he was at wimby juniors?), namely, Denis Kudla ...

i like querry or fish here. wonder what the odds for these two guys to win it are? anyone know?

i think the odds are good to bet against Querry. He is really tired right now and he is likely to lose before the final.....or he will just tank one of the matches. i wonder which one.....
