Brown def Phau 7-6(3) 6-7(7) 6-4
Good news, hope he can keep it going.

What's wrong with Taylor Dent ?? is he injured again ??????![]()
why is he so tired? has he been playing a lot since wimbledon?
I was there today & had a good look at Ryan Harrison beating Beck. Harrison looked really good. Beck didn't look like he was much of a challenge for him.
Harrison has a BIG time serve and Huge Forehand. but right now His Brains hasn't mateured yet so he still Plays like a Junior mentally that is....
He was actually pretty sound today. Rarely looked lost on the court at all, but it may have been this particular match. Hopefully he can keep it up.
When he is off and fragile,,,,,he double Faults like crazy and even gives away games with double faults.......lol
Man, Taylor Dent is going downhill quickly, isn't he? Too bad. Here's some results from today's singles:
Dustin Brown d. Bjorn Phau 7-6(3), 6-7(7), 6-4
Go Soeda d. Taylor Dent 6-4, 3-6, 6-4
Ryan Harrison d. Karol Beck 6-1, 6-2
Ha ha ha.....LOL. I used to live down the block from the Newport Casino (Tennis Hall of Fame) in Newport, R.I. It's called the "Hall of Fame Championships" because it's played at the Tennis Hall of Fame, which of course, is in Newport, Rhode Island.I was a hundred percent sure of that this tourney was being played in Newport, OC, California. The commentator just said "Rhode Island" and I just had to check it out, and obviously found out, I was dead wrong.

Maybe he should go back to his 100% serve and volley game? I know recently he's been changing his game to play more from the baseline, but I don't think it's working. He's better off charging the net, especially behind that huge serve of his. He should be winning more on grass.
Mahut beat Falla 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.
he really took care of business today, knocking out the player 10 years older than himself ... ryan's another one of those who's been coached by his dad since he was "2 years old" ... woof! he's already got 16 years experience
there's another young American wild card I'm interested in seeing (I think he was at wimby juniors?), namely, Denis Kudla ...
Hmm, how come Fish has gotten 6 votes? He's never done well here. Ram repeating is a more likely than Fish winning the tournament. I'd say Ram and SQ are equal contenders for the title.
Yep, it was as hazy hot and humid as the afternoon photos show.....over 100....
nasty.....sorry for the poor point and shoot quality but I wasn't lugging around my dslr, vertical grip and multiple lenses today......I'm sharing what I got...not good but gives a taste of the day I hope.....if folks are interested I could put up a few more....but it is off to bed now.

although Mahut dropping a 6-1 set to a garbage player .
nice picture, thanks.Fish

Falla garbage!? i'm pretty sure he almost beat the GOAT in the 1st round of Wimbledon![]()
nice picture, thanks.
... 3 adjacent courts ?
but it seems they use only one of them at the same time during the tournament, right ?... and is there also a "lonely" center court ?
Doesn't seem so by looking at the stream. It looks as tho maybe there's a doubles court as the middle of the three and then two singles courts without the tramlines, but hrstrat57 will know for sure![]()

kudla is a bit of a question mark, except that he did beat santiago ventura in R1. the atp website doesn't even say how long he's been in the USA or whether he's a citizen, but their profile on him begins in 2008. I gotta guess that harrison will win it
at wimby, kudla (17/wb 18 in a month) made it to the QF of juniors, and harrison (18 ) was knocked out in the first round of qualifying by that berankis guy.
=== edit: I guess kudla m/b a citizen, according to the article @ http://www.tennisfame.com/american-...n-campbells-hall-of-fame-tennis-championships
That Denis Kudla,,being invisible must have some advantages when playing the match. Wonder why he hasn't broken thru yet ??![]()
10 points played in the first game, and Somdev S&Ved on 9. The 10th was a double fault.
I'm interested in seeing this Dustin Brown,..
whose dustin brown ??
Brown breaks Querrey. He's not a bad player is he?![]()
