I don't think he will. Lets remember the guy is good on all surfaces, so in his best form, he has as good a chance as any.
But, I don't think he ever reaches that level again unfortunately. He relied on his physicality more than any other top player IMO, and its questionable whether he can do that again.

I mean it's a giant leap from what he's done today to what he'd presumably need to do in order to accomplish that. You consider that he struggled to manage a slam even in his pomp, and the chances of him doing so now seems extraordinarily slim, but... I mean you never know what is going to happen with a tennis landscape thinning quicker than Rafa's hair.

I know he loves tennis, but you have to wonder if risking his new hip is worth it all. He's not fighting for GOAT position like the Big 3, where the reward is probably worth the risk. He's set for life as Britain's Greatest player, and will get all the perks and cushy jobs and opportunities in retirement that come with that.

But the way he used to talk about his hip
problems before the surgery made day to day living sound awful. Constantly in pain. Couldn't play with his kids or even walk his dog for any length of time. Why would you risk a return to that kind of existance if you don't really have to. Hope for his sake the new hip is built to last.

Still, good on him for working his way back and winning a title. I don't see another slam in his future, but stranger things have happened. The guy knows how to grind.

I don't think he can. Would I be shocked if he did? Yes. But still, it's possible.

He is top 20 level in best of 3. It really depends on the offseason and how he would prepare physically, he starts slowly and gives too many sets but I suppose that is because of the lack of confidence. Next year Big 3 should be more vulnerable than 2008-2017 so I guess Andy could have an opening with a draw but he should be happy of just being there and giving his best. The end results doesnt really matter in his case

Andy himself was doubtful about playing singles again but he says his surgeon advised him to try.

If he continues this aggressive play and stays healthy, why not? He might need some things to fall his way, but it is definitely a possibility. Plus we have seen what he can do when he has a drive for something, and a renewed tennis career might be that.

Just because he barely eeked out a 250 indoors? It's a great achievement no doubt, but he won't come anywhere near a slam title again. Maybe a quarterfinal if he has a good draw. Anything more than that would take a miracle.
