Can anyone confirm if these fit Gamma 4000 glidebars?

Clamps on my Gamma 4000 at home are pretty well toast. I've thoroughly taken them apart, cleaned them, replaced the nuts used to tighten the jaws...and in spite of all that, they just don't hold like they used to. Contacted TM, and was told in short that the Gamma clamps and parts used to recondition them are no longer available (which I knew). JC suggested that these would work...but I wanted to see if anyone has been able to use them for sure - before I pull the trigger ordering them from Eagnas. I can't even imagine how it would go if I found they didn't fit, and tried to return them to Eagnas. Appreciate any of your experiences or additional ideas. Thanks!

I love the glidebar-clamps on my 30year old Stringway, so I can imagine you want to stick to this type of clamps.
Would it not be simple to measure the diameter of your bars, and compare with the diameter of the Eagnas-bars for which these clamps are meant?

That would be one way. Unfortunately, I don't know of anyone who has a set of these. And, as I recall, previous posters tried to get the measurements out of Eagnas directly...only to be told by Eagnas that they would be happy to have one of their shop employee measure them, for some outrageous fee.

If I looked hard enough, I could probably find the measurements for my machine - without having to measure myself. The catch is, need to know the measurements of the Eagnas clamps.

So, anybody got a set they are willing to measure the inside diameter for me? Pretty please?

Be careful what you ask for you just may get it. The inside diameter of the clamp may no be a full circle so the measurement may be incorrect. What you need to measure is the diameter of the glide bar near the ends of the bar and compare the two bars. If the diameter is the same the clamps should be.

EDIT: Now where did I put my yard stick. LOL

You could make those work if the measurement is even pretty close. If they have a hole that is too large, you could make a sleeve. If the holes are too small, you can open them up. I make these kinds of changes in my daily job. Any machine shop would be able to do this for a small cost.

Just an idea for you, if you don't find a better solution. Hope that is of some help.

The bar does not glide on the inside of the clamp. Inside the clamp hole there are pads that tough the bar. Grind those off and you end up with too much friction and wear out the clamps and the bar in no time.
